So what did you end up doing? If it was me my blood would have boiled and i would have wanted to knock him off, but you got a good point about the reckless driving thing. I do think it is amazing you saw it again. Good luck hope you get your bike back.

Id follow him quietly, at the first lights stop, id jump out, grab him by the helmet, rip him off and kick his fuckin head in till he stopped moving. Im an angry person though, but mate I would have made damn sure I got my hands on him and physically ripped him off the bike and smashed him. Ive had fights with bikers who have all their gear, helmet etc on before, they dont win.

Im also assuming you didnt have a phone other wise you would have rung the cops by then.
yip, i would have picked a good spot on the road with no witnesses around and nothing for him to hit himself on and when he slowed down a bit rammed him off my bike, fuck it, i dont care what the morally corrupt law says.
Im prepared to take responibility for my actions.
I wonder if the cops would do you for smashing your own bike up?

Wow thats tricky, i was tryn to visualise what i would do and my only idea that felt right would be to stop behind him at lights and rip him off by his helmet and well beat the shit outa him, and citizens arrest his ass! but as the victims of crime seem to be persecuted harder than crims in this fucked up pc world its probably not the best idea. but in the heat of the moment id do that

As I caught up with him, I was kinda not thinking straight just shit what am i gonna do. I followed without causing suspiscion, I reached for the mobile straight away, it was flat (had been working 1 hour before). I reached for the camera I happen to have with me next - the memory card was full  (had been used up on the relatives 1 hour before where I had just come from)
Next I reached for the gun, no bullets left SHIT (I had used them up on two policeman 1 hour before) .......No wait that was a JOKE!
All I could do was continue following him, trouble is cars were getting in my way and at one point turning right onto SH17 through the town where it narrows from 2 lanes to 1 I cut this lady up something cronic, I was just focused on staying with the theif....unfortunately my driving suffered for it.
After losing him, I looked around the local area, down side streets, asked bystanders etc etc no luck. When I got back home later I called police a crime was being committed (well it was!) hoping they would finish eating there donuts and search perhaps. I've heard nothing though. Later tonight I went back to have another look around the area, I saw two cop cars parked on the road just where I had lost the theif. They were attending to a guy fallen off his pushbike!!

First stoplight .. Grab his helmet by the base and pull hard .. Then lay the boot in as he tries to get up..
Hard to run away when your helmet is twisted sideways and your legs are broken

Ok general consensus is ram him off the road in some way. Right... lets say the guy wasnt the theif then, maybe a KB that has just bought unknowingly a stolen bike. You've just paralised an innocent man!!! Just a scenario, maybe not much chance of that happening...say just as much chance as FOLLOWING YOUR BIKE THAT GOT STOLEN FROM YOU LAST WEEK:dodge: (Not aimed at you Death Inc by the way haha)

I'm with Death on this one. I would have just run the cunt over and worried about the flake-out later.
Of course I would have done it in such a way that later equiry would have shown me hoving up alongside, asking...very politely...why the chappie g'mun was riding my bike, then nuked the fuck into the nearest hard thing.
It would then be quite clear to the Serious Crash Invesitgators that said cunt had panicked, hit me and....well, sad and all as it may be, the poor wee dear ended up as road-kill.
Happens all the time; bikers with issues. They end up as road kill.
The issue this cunt had was: he'd just been approached by me...the real owner of the bike! Must have freaked him out and then some, as you'll appreciate.
Shit! But I hate thieves of any sort; those who steal things, time, emotions, my sense of humour, you name them.
Thieves are the biggest bunch of shits on earth.....mainly because there's so many of them and also because they're often so cunning or backed up with incomprehensible power.
They steal your things, they steal your life.
Open thieves and closed thieves, like politicians, bureacrats, wives, lovers, associates, and even sometimes friends. They take from you and give nothing back. They act as one thing while really being predators.
And they do so all of one accord because these vile aresholes know that at the time they take, you are vulnerable to the taking.
Yup. I would have run the cunt over and then stomped his face, and then asked if he'd like medical attention.
I despise theives.

thats it guys keep the replies coming - just remember;
REWARD $1500
BIKE IS ZX9R ALL YELLOW - Reg No 71 UID,
A mate has since told me he thought he spotted a similar bike on the shore on Thursday night but with 54 in the number plate? Thats not mine but it could be hes swapping plates....anyway 2 sightings on the shore I reckon. However bike stolen near Onehunger.
No one has so far mentioned the first thing they would have grabed if he stoped at the lights is the keys (he aint going anywhere then is he!)
Then park the bike up nice and safe, perhaps a little polish, and then continue to smash his head in.
One for the future!

First opportunity knock the rider off, then run him over and over again while yelling loudly for someone to call the cops is my advice.
Geez Wayne you really have had a run of bad luck. Bike stolen, then you see it being ridden around while you have a flat battery on your phone, a digital camera that is full and some dumb car drivers stoping you from knocking the thief off your bike!
Take it you have no insurance?
EDIT: Oh and after you reported it, the police were apparently busy helping someone that had been knocked off their bike. Hmmm...

I had a situation like yours years ago but it was my best mates bike.
I followed it and wondered what to do for about 8 kms and then it happened without me really planning it .
He stopped at a red light , i jumped from the car and ran over to him and just pushed him and the bike over. It was about then that i realise just how fuckin big this dude was so i crapped myself with what was bound to happen.
As it happened he got his leg stuck under the bike and he couldnt move out from the pinned position he was in . Cool , i just stood on the bike to add to the weight and listened to him yelling for help while he got burned a bit from the exhaust. Just try to get out from under an old GSX1100 ET with some prick like me on top of it lol.
A nice young off duty coppa :Police: came along and inquired to what i was doing , i briefly told him the story and the cop just kicked the guy in the guts and asked him to shut up for a few mins and stop moaning lol .
It was fucking funny as hell and i went on to become good friends with the coppa lol .hes sort of human aye.
The dude got a term in the house for his worries and i got to take my mates bike back to him with only minor damage and a blue denim stain on the pipe.
I dont know what i would do if it was my bike but i would stalk that area you lost it in for sure and make sure you have a good battery in the cell when you do it, hes obviously brazen enough to keep riding it anyhow so that may be his mistake. Go get ya bike back man, good luck

Jovo, in all serrious, dont smash the guy if u find him. Follow him and find out where he lives. He might have some other persons stolen stuff as well.

28th March 2009, 19:33
Man are you lucky!!
My solution would be to wait until he stops at the lights, walk up to him and flick the kill switch then turn the key and knock him off. Citizen arrest and get someone to call the police.
Forest
28th March 2009, 19:57
First I would call *555 regardless of what was happening.
If the rider stopped for a red light or traffic queue, then I'd get out and give the rider a shoulder charge. Best outcome would be to tip them both over. You can't ride off when the bike is on its side.

Must be one ugly fcking bike..

That screwdriver could be in his pocket so be carefull...He might not care about going to jail for stabbing some punk with it ! !

You arent the only one toying with the idea of grabbing the key...
Funny thing tho is most thieves are dont bother - as RM reported in the other thread.
If you are going to do the man hero thing may as well leap on the guy and hope the bike pins him to the ground,
else getting onto *555 served RM pretty well.

While ramming the guy sounds like fun you do have to consider it is YOUR bike so as well as having the repair bill you would have to scrape his blood spatter and brain pieces off your bike..... OK no that does sound worth it yep ram the prick, just claim you didn't see him thats regulation cage defence.
