Well, finally getting some time to myself I thought ... and wanted to work on Betsy's lekky and instrument and frame problems. I started early Saturday morning ... and from then on, my plans went up in smoke! Only half hour ago tonight is when I managed to get back to work on this!
The clocks were needing some TLC, so some time last year I had bought some from UK on fleabay, along with a new front mount since the last was a little worse for the wear. A new tacho cable installed and it seems I need a new speedo cable as well! :pinch:
Anyhow, the lights weren't working and thus I had to tackle the lekky gremlins! :girlfight: Lekky probs are a black art and I hate having to work on them!
Stripping off the front mount and dismantling the spaghetti wiring, I finally isolated the problems ... earth cable came off the parking light bulb mount, the main light mount also had an earthing problem. Fortunately not too hard to correct and eventually everything was working tickety-boo! :niceone:
Fired her up and took her around the block a couple of times and wahhhay! Two stroker smoker fun! :woohoo:
Off to Colin of Papakura Motorcycles tomorrow for a WOF and Daisy now has to bicker with Betsy for riding time! Mmmmm girl on girl ...
Pic 1 : Betsy gets her kit off! Ooer!
Pic 2 : Now ... where to begin? Thank gosh for a Repair manual with wiring diagrams!
Pic 3 : Spot the difference ... hmmm also need to locate another horn for the opposite side! Might as well get some metal welding practice in on the broken bits!
