Yo!

Im going up for it if they get back to me. Their advertising has been crap and Im a bit dubious as to whether it will all happen smoothly
The event is happening at 5 different locations!!

I like the sound of the Hare Scramble though - Ive asked to enter.
I will take up some bikes and my photo boards and do a display for the business if I dont get any ride bookings for the weekend by friday.

Might just come and sleep on your lawn then take you here when its all over

We did a few tracks out there at xmas over the fire breaks. But theyd be to hard for a girl with a new bike. Some of them are very steep!
Few pics Attached

And 3 more! Was great fun! Specially a real hard one that went down to a dead end. You had a sign on a stump to turn over to let others know you where on the track! It was good stuff!

Track Im thinkin of is a paper road goin from Matarangi to Corotown through the forest. its just a gravel road but sections have loose rocks the size of yer fists. but at the coro end I can take you down some nice single trails to the goldmines- bring a torch.

These wheren't roads but a bunch of steep fire breaks very close to Whitianga. You went around the gate and there's a few trails in there! Cave weta would know the area much better than me, but PM me for the details if you take your bike!
Don't wanna post them publicly as I'm not sure if you are allowed but the sandblaster guy on the road in said it was all ok and his kid took us on the first tour to show us some of the tracks, although he couldn't do all of them. You'd do them all on a day easy, we went back about 4-5 times! Bloody hard after a bit of rain, clay, ruts and steep as in some places!
