Shit Sammy its a pretty full on place my girl. Especially if they don't spilt A & B into sessions!! At your speed you will get the crap roosted out of you. There is no beginners track there either.
Its the last evening session I think 4-8pm before the time changes to daylight savings time of 2-6ish. But check with the raceline on Wednesday Ph:268-0886.
I'll try and make it if I can.

How much harder is it than say the B loop at thundercross... cos that was a bit of an epic fail for me...
barty5
30th March 2009, 13:28
would be easyer than thunder just a shit load more bike cause it a lot lot smaller track. And speaking of thunder looks like we will be heading that way on sunday if anyone else is keen, cant be arsed drivin way up north at the moment.

Thunder doesn't close for winter does it?? But its a good option, makes sense to what you say I can take her their. I'll check with my boy tonight see where he wants to go!
Sorry to Hijack your thread Sammy!
Ardmore is a good track and the other riders are really good out there, but I personally think it would be more fun for you if you can at least get through the Thunder B loop and you are good enough for a slowish go on the main loop at Harrisville. Even I ride in the Ardmore B group if its divided up for old farts and learners. Others could well disagree and we'll look after you out there but that's Just my 2c! Up to you, Your very keen 100 points for that!!!

If you don't mind being passed by lots of people and getting roosted you will enjoy it. Even in the B group there are fast riders. Mainly youngins' etc.
If you go out when the tracks wet and aren't going fast enough you may find yourself not being able to get to the top of some of the jumps and sliding back down again. So, go faster or wait until it drys out a bit.
I've been there once and as it was pretty quiet there weren't enough riders to split it up into A/B groups. This means you are exposed to some of the quicker riders. This isn't a bad thing though. Just hold your line and enjoy the roosting :pinch:
I did have someone land on my swing arm though. I was fine, he came off :woohoo: (probably thought I was going faster than I was, damn)

Sophie was near enough same speed as you when she started riding at Ardy. Important rule number one (and Sophie took a while to get the hang of...) is 'hold your line' so you are predictable for those passing.... Other rules don't really matter compared to number one.....
She would just sit on the container watching and waiting until the track was to her liking, actually she still does and loves Ardy..........
I think it's $20 for non-members...
Can't help with anniversary advice, right from the start my wife and I decided to make birthdays and anniversaries dates flexible, so they could be celebrated without stress..........

Give him the night of his life on Wednesday and then come out to Thunder with us on Sunday. Much more time for you to ride there and you have a downhill to conquer if I remember rightly! My daughter is coming as well, she'll give 1/2 the B a go if she see's you havin a go. Bring Hubby with you if you want plenty of bike for him to have a go on, my sons 200 will be good for him. When he meets us family guys he'll be more relaxed about you coming out with Climintie and me! I'll see if Ray (he lives by you) and his wife want to come as well! We'll pit up the top paddock this time.
Climintie might be in too.
Better start another thread I suppose so all the Kber's can find out!

Otherwise its Ardmore Quarry Road not far up it either. If you go past the far end of Ardmore Airport on Mullins Road at the end do a left go 200 metres down Papakura Clevedon Rd and you will see an MX sign on the lampost. Turn right in Ardmore Quarry and its only about 500 metres in on the right.

Yeah what eva, I was just following you around to check your riding style LOL.
Its been a good few years since I've been on a MX track like that apart from Fells a few times so its back to the drawing board. Also having an enduro bike with S12's and a worn skinko on the front is not ideal.
Freakin SLAY me will yah, well next time I'm guna nick somebodies MX bike and show the little bugga whose boss.
Maybe I'll just say "when you can beat me in the bush then I'll concede"
