Anyone on here own, or know the person who owns the ZXR (I think) that crashed on the one-way going north in Dunners? I didn't stop on my way past, the cops were already there and it looked like the accident had been about 1/2 an hour before. I hope no one was too badly hurt.

Ah, now if I'd seen that message yesterday I might have been able to tell you, I vaguely remember it being a multi colour design, something like silver, blue and red maybe? Can't really remember though.

It was a fireblade He was stopped for the pedestrian crossing when he got nailed from behind. Broken bone in the foot and the bike looked proper fucked when I drove past.

I'm almost scared to slow at some pedestrian crossings unless school is just starting/finishing. I have almost been rear ended there four times, mainly in the car.
Then again in Dunedin how many people cross at the corrects spot anyway?

Do people not check their mirrors when slowing to a stop in the middle of the road?

From the damage that I saw on cars it looked as though it was car bike car
car stopped for peds, bike was stopped, second car tried to make a sandwich of bike.
Mr plod will assign blame to the correct party and life will go on.. this time.

Ouch, that'll have him off his feet for a while, foot anyway. Suppose it could have been a lot worse though. Still, really sucks that there's not a thing he could have done about it.

aw gutted. I'll miss hearing that thing go up the hill.
Heh, once I was with my girl by my bike and about to start it up and then this dude came along and started up his blade...I was forced to feel very small and wait until he had gone before I could start my wee thing up.
My brother saw the accident on his way home and said the front looked a bit mashed. Is he going to get it repaired or just take the money?

dang - could be a pain in the foot trying to stop or change gears, depending on which foot. shame about the bike. not nice being sandwich meat. hope he recovers well and both are mobile soon.
