Does anyone know what happened to the ride 2 die site? I'm trying to convince a friend that getting a non-safety certified half helmet is the most retarded idea she has ever had and that death is the only thing she can expect from it. She won't listen and I thought some visual impact was suitable...but I can't find the site with the images anymore, only some site with a blurb about not riding badly.

Tell her to put the helmet on and youll smack her with a hammer.

Then smack her in the uncoverd face and tell her itll be worse in a bike crash.

Friggin girls eh...ya know I saw a bunch of high school girls this morning walking to school in the pissing rain. Did they have rain coats or any sort of weather protection on?? NAHH!!!
And why not? Coz its not a good look for them to wear a jacket, just like they won't ride pushbikes to school...looks silly apparently.
Imagine being so self-conscious you would rather get cold and wet and sit in wet clothes all day at school rather than wear a raincoat.:no::no:

Youtube is your friend.

There are so many vids of people doing face plants with an open face helmet.

It's never pretty.

I've also got a helmet with a scratched visor and chin guard on a full face helmet. If I had an open face I'd be looking like this guy.

Let her know if she goes for a little slide that she's up for losing the skin off her chin, lower lip and then face grafts.

Personally I'd go for the full face. The guy above doesn't look too bad after plastic surgery but i'd also guess he didn't do a face slide just the face plant.

Yeah no kidding. HA! Funny you should say that cause the only reason she wants the helmet is cause it looks 'cool'. ARGH! Heh, even tried telling her boyfriend that he'd have to go out with a half faced freak girl with no lips and a Swiss accent.

Thanks for the youtube idea mate. Can't believe I didn't think of that.

I remember seeing this diagram of a full faced helmet and then percentages all over it to indicate where most impact was taken...might see if I can find it.

Who cares about safety when you can look like the "Crazy Frog"!!

Surely the:
** IMPORTANT **

This is not an approved safety helmet. It does not come with any certification or safety standards labeling. Use with caution.

Should be enough to discourage purchase, if not I feel a "Darwin award" nomination coming in the near future.
