Just been on the Schuberth website http://www.schuberth.com:80/ and was just wondering how good these helmets are compared to the rest.Comments i have read are saying they are the quietest (the C3 being the latest) at $1200 and possibly you can do without the ear plugs maybe?? .So who's got one and what do ya reckon then ??

Any helmet manufacturer who doesn't make helmets in the full range of sizes isn't worth serious comment.

That more that twice I paid for my Givi helmet which comes with an internal sunvisor.

Other than possibly being a bit quieter I can't see what else the Shuberth offers.

I could buy a lot of cool stuff for $600

They are the makers of the BMW helmets, at least they were back in the System 3 days, so can't be all bad. They still do the golf ball look with the dimples?

Was keen on one of these for the same reason (low DB at highway speed & in-built visor) Went 3 bike shops who where suppose to be resellers of these helmets (your 1 in the Naki, Langlands in Masterton & Anza in Palmy) All only had a couple of the range. None had any in my size for fitment and would not get one in to try as I wanted one with graphics and as I found out, the NZ distributor doesn't bring them in. Guy in the naki was the most helpful. He rang the distributor in Auck while I was there. Guy in Auck said if I paid for the helmet now he would order anything I wanted with his next shipment. Don't know how they expect someone to lay out $1200 + on a helmet that you haven't even tried on and if it doesn't fell right or comfortable I doubt he would take it back? Got pissed off and bought a Shoei with a whisper kit & half tint visor. Half the price, cool graphics, good support from NZ distributor.

I have a C2.

Its a nice helmet, but its not that quiet, and its price is a bit ridiculous.

I cant use it in Aussie cos it does not have the little sticker..and Qld Coppers are such dorks that they issue "No helmet" tickets if your $1000.00 helmet doers not have a sticker..the $65.00 open face made in Taiwan ones are OK..cos they have a sticker!

I have not had a serious crash, but used to use the C2 at the track, I trust it more than any of my other flip fronts.

Visors and shades are dear, and hard to find..the "anti fog" coating separates, and frankly I would rather reccomend HJC or KBC than Shuberth.

Comfort, value, quality.

The S1 Pro and R1 have a terrible 2 out of 5 star SHARP safety rating.

The C2 is rated 4 stars, which is good. The C3 is not rated yet, but hopefully it should be as good as the C2 or better.

I have bought a C3 a few weeks back. Excellent helmet. Quiet but still recommend ear plugs. Well made, light, fantastic internal visor, good ventilation. Pin lock thing is fantastic. Practical, flip is great. Even looks good. Only criticism is expensive.
