Having just got back from the South Island where the V-Strom looked after me extremely well, never missing a beat, and providing me with a bike holiday that will last with me for many years (yes I'm hooked).
Anyway - I'm looking to move to something a little more 'track friendly' - something I never though would appeal - but something I'm wanting to give a try.
Unfortunately I cant have 2 bikes - the wife draws the line somewhere - and that would appear to be it. So the mighty V-Strom has to go.
Its a late 2006 model Silver and Black. and could be described as being in mint condition. Mileage is 24,600 - they go for ever so the big fella is just run in.
It has a good set of rubber (front and rear) and was recently serviced.
I have a number of extras on this bike that really improve the ride and completely fix the famous buffering issue v-stroms have.
Extras:
* Mad Stad bracket - making the screen fully adjustable in 4 directions. http://www.madstad.com/
* Fork brace (Super Brace) http://www.superbrace.com/proddetail.asp?prod=3304
Frame and swing arm sliders. Considerably lighter than crash bars, yet still offering good protection. The swing arm ones also allow you to put the bike on a stand for chain maintenance.
* Seat: Custom made Ryder seat (speak to Cajun) - having just done 5000km on this seat - I have to say that its the best seat I have ever used! The pillion seat is raised - giving them a great seating position, and gives the rider great support in the lower back. If you are reading this and already have a v-strom - go get Ryder to make you a seat - you will get a lot of enjoyment out of it.
* Luggage: 46 ltr hard case mounted on the back (lockable with spare key etc)
* Tank protector.
* Comes with two screens - the stock smaller screen and a large touring Givi screen. Both work with the MadStad bracket.
Comes with current WOF and Rego (both done in the last month).
If this sounds like you drop me a PM. In the meantime I will get some pics this weekend.
Obv the price is not $0 - I am still looking for comparable bikes to help set a fair and reasonable value on it.
