When I was reading about the ZX9R that was stolen and Renegade Master found for JovoMan I got to thinking (has to be a good sign...) that there are those on here who go that extra distance and really should have their names in neon lights.
I was impresssed with RM's attitude and determination to go out searching for the stolen bike and find it!
So here is to you Renegade Master! And if you ever come past HB I would be proud to give you a place to stay and a beer or a doz.

No need to. A man who is prepared to spend his time searching for a fellow bikers stolen bike and retrieve it is a legend in my mind. Then that only a mother could love him is not part of the requirement to be a hero/legend.

If someone has true Legend status, then it is my opinion that putting this persons name out there (in neon lights) would only make that person cringe, if indeed that person is a Legend. Stroking someones ego is at the other end of the scale.
Over the last few days, I have met/talked and worked for a True Legend to most on this site. I did not know that this person lived here until Thursday, and I will add that, even though this person is a Legend/Hero to some, at the end of the day, hes just a good bastard and a hell nice guy.

I agree Maha. Although it's nice to publicly recognise the good deeds of others, sometimes a thank you and putting your hand up to help them back at some point is usually enough for most. There are quite a few people on KB who I consider legends and thought of naming them in here, but then thought that it would probably embarrass them, not that they'd probably see it anyway, probably not the kind of thread they'd read, they know who they are anyway.

not letting the great unwashed view my awesomeness , for free . Que up in an orderly fashion and await thy turn ....
or you could view one off the lesser minions such as Poseidon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poseidon) God of the sea. He created horses from sea foam. God of earthquakes as well. Also called 'Earth Shaker' and 'Storm Bringer'. His symbols are horses, sea foam, dolphins, and a trident. ( the poseur)

My opinion here.Ya wanna know who the REAL legends are??
Theyre the marshalls that turn up at every meeting rain or shine to keep our (the racers/trackdayers) sorry asses safe.
Notice we NEVER know their names??
Theyre the Club members of this world who put in endless hours to organise race meetings whilst never even getting to be the "face" of the organisation.
Again who remembers their names?
Its the pit crews helping out the racers -hidden behind the scenes
Its the volly fireys and St Johns guysthat use their spare time to save your life .
Yea folks THEY are the fucking legends.
Cunts like me get the credit THEY are the true legends

My nominations would be:
Gubb: For being an all round awesome dude, the continual use of his gargare, the millions of beers downed and spanner nights at his place, as well as all the epic rides on weekends and for always wanting to help out and learn something. Cheers, dude.
Toto: For organising all of the newbie rides etc and going out of his way to make new riders feel welcome on KB/in the biker scene.
Katman: He's been a huge help to me with the bike since living in Taupo, awesome guy, honest and good to hang out with, charges very fairly, and I'm very pleased with the work he's done on the bike. Most impressed. I know where I'll be taking the bike to be serviced from now on.

The true legends are the ones, that when help is needed. It is given. Not just when its asked for. It can be offered (not forced on you) in a PM, a text, a phone call, or just in a short (or long) post.
The legends do it so often it is taken for granted, and expected as the norm.
To ALL the legends that have PM'd me in the past few days.... a very BIG thank you.
You know who you are...
For me the true legends on this site are the ones that keep on going in some of the most horrible situations. To those of you that face every day with the best smile you can manage, despite the shit sandwich that life can deliver at lunchtime, I take my hat off to you!

For me my KB heroes are:
Mom- for being the best ever, setting me straight when i talked bullshit, when i ranted and talked myself up. Showed me to be no one else but me, and show respect and in turn receive nice things. You helped me change alot, i want you to know youre the best!
WBKS- For helping me out with my english and NCEA, and because of this my tutor was suprised how much i have changed. And passing a few formal writing essays, have decided to stay in school also.
