Follow the manual, and go slow when refilling... i give the lines a wiggle too, you dont want pockets of air in them

Don't stand too close to the outlet with your little container to catch the coolant when it comes out, it splirts out quite a long way, oh and it's hot, smelly, slimey and toxic (yep lesson learnt)

Cool thanks guys. I did speak to a bike mechnic yesterday and found what proberly is the drain bolt on the water pump. He said to run the bike for a bit to get rid of any air bubbles after puting the coolant in.

Also can the old stuff be disposed off same way as oil at recycling centres?

Have a look here - he is putting covers on his coolant pipes - but in the process goes through coolant changes. There is about 3 vids for coolant. Watch them all and make notes, he has classic lines - "I'll undo that and hopefully green stuff will come out"

Americans sniff a lot on their videos.........

The book says you want a 50/50 mix of water and geen shit.
