Hi all, are there any tricks to starting a GPX 250 1st thing? I sometimetimes have occassions when my 06 will not fire for a while (even though there is petrol, battery all good, usually starts) so if you have some constructive advice it would be appreciated.

Surely it has a choke? You should be using that if it wont kick over first time. My 87 GPX hasn't even needed the choke after leaving it in the sun for 10 minutes before i start it.

You need to look at this site. It should answer most questions you have on the bike. http://faq.ninja250.org/wiki/Main_Page

FULL choke NO throttle. She will rev high. Then back off to half choke after a few seconds.A couple of revs to settle matters down and all will be good.
