RIP

Information on other websites suggest it was young Judd Greedy. A very good up n coming rider who always gave his best. He was actually leading the AU Supersport Championship after the first round at Phillip Island.

Very sad situation. Condolensces to his family and to the riders following.

I’ve known Judd since he was a little kid. I moved away (as far as NZ for a while) and fell out of contact with his family. I’ve followed his Career closely. He was tied for first place going into this round.

My thoughts are with his parents – very sad.

RIP Judd Greedy

Such devastating and very sad news to hear about such a very talented rider. Codolences to his family and friends and to the Australian Superstock riders who raced and knew him well. R.I.P Judd. You will be sadly missed by so many and also by the Australian Motorcycle Road Racing Association.:weep:

Oh shit....what a tragic end for such a talented young bloke.

As much as I hate reading this sort of thing I can't help but think it does no good to stick our heads in the sand. This is a sad reality for our sport, to deny it is to race with blinkers on.

I think it should be asign of respect to the rider and his family images not to be shown.

Sad news indeed

I have to disagree with these comments about the images not being shown.

1. It's a hazard of partaking in or being interested in motorsport.

2. They're not images of the dead rider himself.

3. It's a hazard of partaking in or being interested in motorsport.

4. As a racer and official who has been involved in a fatal racing accident, it's part of the risk of the sport we're involved in.

5. It's a hazard of partaking in or being interested in motorsport.

6. What's the difference between seeing images of this accident that ended as a fatal, and watching Barry Sheene's high speed get off at Daytona where he survived?

and just in case you need a reminder...

7. It's a hazard of partaking in or being interested in motorsport.

And don't forget, you don't HAVE TO look at those images. It's the internet, and you do have a choice.

And before anyone decides to get on my case, I'm not being disrespectful in anyway to Judd or his grieving family. They all know the risks of being involved in the industry.

RIP Judd

As I said its just my opinion, however while im here,to reply to the points you made
1,3,4,5,7-yes its a hazzard, doesnt mean I want to see the last moments of a racer before he is killed.
2-same as above
6-your joking, right??
I blame the media,to publish photos of someones last moments alive is wrong.

its not sticking your head in the sand. It is a reality of our sport (and of living), but a selfish choice we usually make to go racing. people have kids, parents, wives and friends who often may not want this out.

To me its a simple sign of respect. Maybe these aren't graphic or showing anything terrible but i draw the line pretty low in cases like this.
