View Full Version : Free Budgie

Last week, a Budgie literally flew into my hands. I stuffed it in a box and called SPCA. Unfortunately, they don't like birds which makes the two of us but I couldn't just set it free as it wouldn't have lasted. I put a lost a found ad on tardme and petsonthenet but it hasn't been claimed.

As you can imagine, a dark box is no place for a bird so I had to buy a $100 cage for the little thing.

Anyone want it? Free with the cage?

P.S. He's very healthy, chirpy, tame and colourful but has a bad case of diarrhea.

Do you tape it to the front of your bike and take it for outings?

What? If he was a "softie" he would have let it fly free to become a potential biosecurity hazard, rather than have it lovingly confined behind bars for the rest of its unnatural life.

"Well it cost me thirty bucks to fix my budgie,
When the little blighter only cost me five.
The veterinary surgeon saw me coming,
But I had to keep my feathered friend alive".........

or maybe more....

"Oh antibiotics for his colour,
Two drops a day on his beak.
Some powder on the nose for his feathers
And clean out his cage twice a week."

Let's not get too carried away folks.

Helpless animals are fine in my book. It's humans I have problems with.

Sorry, I mis-read the thread title. I thought you were giving away budgie smugglers. I don't want your animal.

And laughs and laughs and laughs, man I dont think I have ever heard anything so funny in my life. Swear to God the more I laughed the louder the bird laughed, the funnier it got. It is a wonder it did not have tears running down its legs really :killingme
