Hey yall,
Just interested in which rally everyone is going to. I know there's a bit of political posturing going on but that's all I know. I also know Woodybee is going to post what she knows regarding the "political posturing".
Anyway, I'm interested in your views....[there, I've opened Pandora's box!!!]

Hey Dudes and Dudess's
Right lets get started, there has been talk that the publicans pocket it all, but I have the entry form which they kindly sent me as I have attended 3 of these rallies before, and the gate proceeds from the Registrations go towards the Canteen Charity, so put paid to those rumours.
I did hear, that there isn;t a lot of love lost between the two rally holders:shifty: and I heard a nasty rumour about something, but I didn't hear it personally so I spoke to a few of you at the rally about it, but don't like to pass on what I heard, as its unfounded rumours.
I would like to say though that the Beaumont Rally has always had the Rally on this date in April and for another Publican just down the road, to sudddenly decide to put on a rally at the same weekend, is pure crap, shit :angry:and will depleat numbers from both rallies as a result of that action. What the fuck are they thinking of doing that for fucks sake.
Look what happened to the Winchester when Burt Munroe did their Rally onthe date the Winchester had theirs on, Burt changed their date last year which enabled the numbers at both to grow.
I made sure that the Garston Rally didn't clash with any other major ones, other than the Hog Rally which I didn't see heavily advertised so that was unfortunate.
The venue rather than either personality is getting my vote, so I am definately going to the Beaumont, bollocks to the political shyte behind it,:Punk: I had already made my decision before I heard stuff........which I thought was pure poo................so I know I am making the right decision by attending the Beaumont.
Everyone's an individual, but look at the site behind the Beaumont, its flat, perfect, excellent facilities, there's new Dude doing it (paul) so it may be different but I am sure its going to be fantastic.
The poster (which I shall get someone to post on here!!) says its Back, Bigger and Better than ever, so lets give Paul our Support and attend it,
Paul at the Beaumont hosted last year Triumph Rally and he really did a fantastic Job, the food was fantastic, he was good fun, and as said the site is fantastic.
Anyway thats my views, so hope you fantastic kber's will come along and party with Woodybee, think Anthony and Q are definate;s and its always a good party when they are around.
Thats all for now folks.

I see from the Teviot Valley Rally entry form that it is organised by the previous publican from Beaumont. I can't see any sense in it!
You must camp at the Millers Flat Camping ground, pay their fees, walk across to the pub to buy their beer etc. :gob:
I won't support it if it dilutes the Beaumont Rally. I suspect sour grapes over some lease deal.

There is definately some kind of sour grapes, which I think is total bollocks, its a vicious act to try to jepordise another rally out of spite, its terrible,.
So BEAUMONT, BEAUMONT, BEAUMONT as previous stated, great site, nice and flat, bit more of a private bit at the front, plenty of chickens, which I went asleep amongst a couple of years ago, whe everyone went on their day ride, and bless they were crouched down having a snooze when I woke up...........................almost got of first names terms with em:hug::killingme
Anyway, its so lovely.
Dear Gus and Claire, if you guys read this, I think you are both great folk, but don;t know why the frig these two rallies have happened do us all a favour, cancel yours, stage it 2 weeks later, and I shall publicise it for you at the Beaumont, and I guarantee you will have more dudes there in two weeks, that you will do on the weekend you are planning now.
it's nuts, crazy, awful, selfish (on someone's part) crap. I am sitting onthe fence as said previously about folk, but the location wins for me.
Ciao for now.
Woodybee reckons there should be 2 rallies, new thread coming on it, cast your votes now

Hey there Dudes and Dudess's
Who reckons that Teviot and Beaumont should be on seperate weekends.
I do. Put your thoughts down here, they are approx 15k's apart form each other. :bleh::rolleyes: :devil2:For Gods sake we are bikers and want to support both and have two rallies, woo hoo.........Lets see Teviot change their dates, and we can go to both.

Labours the point I make, shoudl have been two rallies on seperate weekends, then both rallis would have had the support especially as its now coming to the end of the rally season, so someone has shit out big time here..................................

I had a great time last year at the Beaumont rally and so will being going back to the same location. It would be one of the best small rally's. I agree with Woodybee with regard to having two rally's, then we can all go to both, after all the rally season is all but over, except for the Brass Monnkey... and I won't be going to that cause it's too bloody cold for me!!

Taken out of context........If you read my origional post/s on this thread......the "rally organisers" I am refering to are the Beaumont & Teviot " organisers having the "pissing competition"
It would be totally inappropriate to generalise :apint:

Well what a great weekend for a birthday bash, great weather and great friends.
Got to Beaumont site, which took us 3 hours to get there. I think it was the Dam second round at the Milton pub and lunch Laurance pub that took and easy hour ten minute ride into 3 hours.
The site was great, lovely flat paddock. We ended up hitting it rather hard on the Friday night and done lots of Karaoke (never knew Solly could sing) till the wee hours with about 15 of us there. Sat morning got up feeling rather well, apart from crofterking not doing too good. Went for a ride to Roxburgh and had lunch then over the dam back to Millers Flat. I went and checked out the site (on a hill) and we went back to Beaumont for afternoon drinks which continued till late. I headed away to bed early, so did Croftersking about 9.30pm. Everyone partied till the early hours of the morning, someone mentioned 5am. Got up early Sunday and headed home, this time not taking 3 hours to do so.
After seeing both sites, I feel the Beaumont will get alot more at the next rally, but would like to see more "games" and daytime entertainment. A way better site than Millers Flat, one I feel I will not be attending. Purely because I am not setting up on a dam slope of a hill.
Sorry Gus, I think you could've found a better site and hopefully a different weekend to hold it so it doesn't clash with any other rallys

A workmate of mine mentioned that. He was on a hunting trip in the Blue-ies and mentioned a rauckous noise aka kareoke being heard through the darkness......
He didn't have much luck that trip.... The wildlife seemed to have disappeared.........
