3 months ago i went and got my learners, a week later a ZZR 250 and then it all began.....
initially the plan was to use the bike as transport as i worked on my car......... hmm that didnt last long
a good 1000kms in the first weekend had me hooked and i havn't looked back since :Punk:
sine then ive taken her to Auckland for big day out, 2 up th whole way, ridden a fair few of the fun roads round well a number of times each, i commute down SH1 to welly every morning in all weather with cages tryin to get me left right and center. and i serviced/fixed her myself a couple times. and dropped her twice (nothing serious, couple scratches m8)
I think i can offically consider myself i Biker

i bought the bike (1999 ZZR250) at 12500kms and 22500 rolled over on the way home from work last night - nice
did that ACC survey yesterday and proved to the statistics people that there are a few 20yr male riders who are aware of all the saftey aspects...... and the need for constant learning/practicing/training........and i got to make a few of the good points that were noted in the threads about the survey -complaints bout cheese slicer center barriers etc -

i would now say that i could beat myself in my car on most of the roads round well that i know and am workin on ma wheelies (havn't got it into 2nd yet :sweatdrop but it power ups over good speed bumps ) been getting the back wheel up on occasion too :2thumbsup

I know i have heaps to learn and know this is a great place to meet the people who can show me some usefull stuff to keep me alive a little longer! so long as i can pass some of it on to some one i'll bo stoked as!

so a big cheers from me and my ZZR :apint: for a great introduction to the world of bikers - u'll be seeing plenty more of me

Good on ya. 10k in under three months is a lot of riding - you'd certainly have gotten to know your bike and increase your skill with that. Much better spent on the bike than in the car - improving your riding makes you a better road user.

10k in three months - impressive!
Plenty of experience in there as well, keep up the good work.

nice one... it's always good to be out riding, looks like you've done a fair bit!
My bike is coming up for it's first 10k which I'm not liking, but that's another story..

Well, here's to another 10,000ks, and may they be better than the first :apint:
Keep it rubber side down :wari:
