Yea I will def be doing that too, I don't want to wait 18 months for a new bike, 12 is still too long!

I've done the driving one, stink have to do it again but for bikes! I even did an extra course to shorten my car restricted to 9 months lol, they don't do that now though.

May as well "borrow" this thread...

I just passed my restricted test this morning! Was cold and damp, but went mostly ok (used radios, much easier than trying to follow the indicators in the mirrors).

Had a little scare when the bike died at the first set of lights and I couldn't re-start it...turned out some numpty had forgotten to turn his fuel tap back on  Test was pretty simple after that.

I've now got 6 months to put some more k's on the Scorpio, then hopefully I can get my full and start checking out bigger bikes.

It's a good feeling alright, I passed my restricted 6 weeks ago and have just done the defensive driving course to shorten my time down to 3 months at a cost (investment) of $150.00 so six weeks until I can do my full....counting down, you must be over 25 as well I guess it depends on whether you want to wait six months.

is there such a thing as a route for testing drivers? i imagined it would be up to the instructors discretion ?
and if so what was the route for the area on north shore ?

god i cant wait till i can legally travel at a respectable speed down the motorway :Oops:i mean i cant wait to umm , oh bugger.
