I've got the opposite problem, I have 18's on the CBX, I'm dreading the day I need to replace the Metzlers on there now. Performance tire and 18 inches are mutually exclusive.

PS - bet your FJ isn't as loud as Scoot... When Scoot is on over-run, little old ladies clutch their handbags tight, children cover their ears, and boy scouts look for sticks so they can roast marshmallows in the flames shooting out the yoshi can........

I was married to Snap On. Until some low life motherfucker ripped off my house. I've been slowly replacing stuff, and then I discovered (after a lot of crap) that there is a brand called Genius, that, while being manufactured in Canada, isn't half bad.

And for the price of a Snap on Ratchet, I get a Genius set.

Point is, I got it from Sarge, he's a good bastard, and the shit that he sells is good shit.

As you were.

When I was with Sulco, Genius quickly became my favourite brand along with Sumake air-tools! I do believe, though that the factory is in Taiwan under the Canadian ownership.

If anyone was breaking sockets, I'd sell them a Genius one - no more broken socket...

I didn't know they manufactured for Koken though, I thought Koken was all Japan still. Mind you I've been out of the loop for a bit now.

Scoot got a run on Sunday, but she was quite naughty, so she spent Monday in the lockup in case of repeats.

:)

Okay, I don't give a rats ass where the stuff is made, so far I haven't broken anything, the ratchets are tight and good, and it's all nicely made. I can't justify snap on prices nowadays (since I don't work with my hands anymore), and this stuff is an acceptable second.

Sarge, I can meet pretty much anytime this week, owe you a beer anyhow.

I have no problem with you at all, I just don't like seeing bullshit being used to sell Taiwanese produced product.

The chances of Ko-ken allowing the Tian Fu Industrial Co. Ltd. of Taichung, Taiwan to manufacture products using their Trade Mark is laughable at best.

There's nothing wrong with Taiwanese product and I'm not suggesting there's anything wrong with Sulco Tools. It's the bullshit I take exception too.

By the way, are you cunts still peddling baby's arse wiping towels?.

Anyhow, put me on your ignore list if you like. They say ignorance is bliss after all.

Genius is a Canadian company.. manufactures 90% of their tools in North America (stamped in the tool and packaging).. T&E has Made In the U.S.A. on most of theirs.. (although alot are manufactured in Taiwan.. granted.. still great tools though)..

Even Snap-On has manufacturing of their Blue Point line offshore in Taiwan and China

yes we are peddling ass wiping towels .. one of our biggest product lines .. we also do Pipeline and infrastructure tooling, Power Products, Hyundai Gen-sets, power tools, air compressors and even agricultural tractors ..

diversification mate ..my boss aint stupid

keep a lookout on your local grocery shelves for an ADULT ass wiping towel too.. i'll even shout ya a pack when we get them in for that attitude of yours

i will PERSONALLY stand behind anything i sell.. i dont stock on my truck what i wouldnt use myself.. cant get a better warranty than that .. and if its shit i will say so and have done on many occasions

yes Genius has a better profit margin than Koken for me .. but i'd rather sell a mechanic an equal tool at a better price so he can afford to feed his family than to sell something because of brand recognition or marketing ..

say a Koken socket set retails for $400.. same set of Genius can go for 1/2 that and be equal quality.. i sell a tool and make my money .. the mechanic gets a good price ..

win/win..

he will buy more because he knows i dont bullshit to try and sell something i doint believe in ... i was that way when i sold bikes and im that way now ..

ask around bro.. alot of KB'rs have been customers of mine and i dare you to find one thats felt cheated or scammed

Where's any mention of this North American Manufacture in the Genius Website (http://www.geniustools.net/company08/iso9000.html)?. They must be doing well to be able to undersell the Japanese, G.M & Chrysler could learn a thing or two?.

Even Snap-On has manufacturing of their Blue Point line offshore in Taiwan and China
Always have, at least they clearly differentiate with another brand name. The Danaher Group (U.S) has been producing Blue Point for years, as with Ingersoll-Rand. Some of the older airtool parts can be scarce.

I'm sure he isn't.

I'll even shout ya a pack
Providing we can arrange a safe drop-point, you have no idea how useful that could be sometimes.

i will PERSONALLY stand behind anything i sell.. i dont stock on my truck what i wouldnt use myself.. cant get a better warranty than that .. And for that reason alone, I wouldn't hesitate to buy Genius branded tools from you.

It's not rocket science.

I was thinking that the use of the word abrasive probably wasn't appropriate. Was just a thought, as 3M stuff is generally quite expensive.

Anyway, you must have some panel shops that would supply some samples?.
