dont be a bunch of poofters - some of us ride EVERY day
me included. Whats a bit of rain. I ride in it, I work in it, I dont moan about it. It mite be shite but it is doing some one somewhere some good. Our turn for the good stuff will come.

Well now that the high has pushed the real rank weather off NZ we can look forward to reasonable day tomorrow and a BRILLIANT day on Monday. :niceone:
Anyone for a ride on Monday, I need to get a couple of rides longer than four hours under my belt before . . . . .
the Eighteenth.
Mike
PS I think that I will call Mondays ride the "See what you are missing out on" ride.:D

Yep last night (Fri), I slaved through the pouring rain to get my bike ready for todays Puke track day much to the astonishment of everyone around me who thought I was crazy going out in this weather. Even this morning it looked dodgy, I bought me a new race BT96 intermediate rear tyre for today but it stopped raining soon after I got to the track and by lunchtime the track had dried out and stayed dry all day much to the satisfaction of us 5 bikers who were hard enough to turn up :)
Blue skies with a few grey clouds now. Weather says the worst of its blown over to the east coast so hopefully it'll stay dry for tomorrows race (fingers crossed!!).

Well it was a geart day in inner Auckland.:)
I hope it was a great day for all the stalwart racers who showed up at the track.
Good luck for tommorow and here's to it being an even better day.

Lee, you'd better order up some decent weather for the 18th. Don't fancy another 1000 miler like the '96 event with gales and driving rain:confused:
Seriously out of practice this year like Mangell. Did a 500 k round Coromandel ride last weekend, only stopping for 5 mins to refuel and munch a banana and my wrists hurt after that one! Have just fitted a couple of 100 W halogen bulbs in anticipation of you sticking us down the loneliest, twisty road you can find in the middle of the night!:argh:
cheers
Geoff
