Okay. Yes. This is one of those meaningless introductory posts, so let's get it over with. I'm 22, male, I live in Wellington and I'm in the final year of my BMSC in human genetics at victoria university. I've had a few scooters and have owned my Honda VTR250 for a few months, ridden about 6000km on it. I ride it everywhere and on weekends combine biking with my other pasttime, photography, because good biking roads and good photography subjects tend to occur together.

hi, so for a meaningless introductory post that wasn't half bad. Just wait til you get into it, you'll get the hang of just plain meaningless in no time and fit right in.

Welcome
look in the meetings and events thread if you want to 'do' an organised (ish) ride. There is a Sunday morning ride and a Wednesday evening ride thread for Wellington. The Sunday one should be getting active any time now.
Oh, and welcome aboard.
Sanity, sensiblity, truth and good sense should be left at the home page.

I've ridden every road south of the rimatakas, so I can probably show you a few good rides, although I ride fairly sedately; being a novice I am careful about the risks I take, particularily passing cars on the open road.

Also, my name, Parabola, is pronounced A x^{2} + B xy + C y^{2} + D x + E y + F = 0, or (y-k)^{2}=4p(x-h) for short. It's also a Tool song and famously, the flight pattern flown by zero-gravity aircraft.
