I have a kickstarter pawl to make dia 8mm length 15mm thickness 5mm
, the current one is sintered and cannot cope with the extra loads
I have 2 choices , spread the loading or make out of a harder material
How difficult and or what process could this shape be made
thanks in advance

Easy.
Manufacture utilising a wire eroder.
Material needs to be softer than the part it mates against [pawl should be the replacement part]. Without seeing the application and checking hardness of mating part material recommendation is speculative; however a nice step up from sintered would be gauge plate.
So yeah, take part to an engineer with a wire eroder. They will need to create the part on Solidworks [or similar], create G-code and cut from gauge plate.

Ta , I' ll look into that probably better too make a strip and pare them off. Thats also a good Idea as I run Linux , and there is a G-code creator floating about , So while I'll pay for the code to be created , it will give me more experience using this software.
I 'll have a nosey around for prices etc ,,,
Thanks for that
