If you ordered a pizza online at 6.20pm and chose a pick up time of 7.00pm and when you arrived they told you it wasn't ready because they lost your docket would you expect something as a sorry?

I'd tell em I've lost my wallet and go somewhere else. That is unless they make a damn good pizza.

I would expect a free pizza at least....do you have anywhere else to go for pizza, cos if you do I would consider going there next time..

If they lost your docket... they lose your custom.... Double whammy for them I say...
A common practice in busy fast food places. Those IN the shop have priority...

I find that being on first name terms with the man in the pizza shop works wonders for not having your pizza fucked up. Same at the chinky.

Absolutely, and I'd expect it without having to prompt them either.

It was HELL at Botany Downs. They gave me $4 off the pizza price which wasn't all bad.

Hell are pretty clear on what to expect:
Late in-store orders
Order is 5-9 minutes late: free item up to $4 (e.g. drink or cold dessert)
Order is 10-14 minutes late: voucher for free double pizza (redeemable on next visit)
Order is 15+ minutes late: order is free plus voucher for a free double pizza (redeemable on next visit)
Go to hellpizza.co.nz then click "Service Guarantee" down the bottom right.

This. And for more than the pizza place, just about everywhere if you take the time to be friendly and get to know the person even a little bit on the other end of the transaction it seems to go better.

They Are normally good
I use to work at the grey lynn store and i would normally just give the order for free and a free drink. i generally done this for orders less than $20 any order more than this i'd give $20 off
What did you order?

To be honest. it could of been coked a bit more. And some more BBQ sauce would be nice.

That, and the knowledge on his part, that if he fucks my wife's pizza up, it's her he's got to deal with, not me :)

Perhaps you should have called the police...? :angry2:
Seriously, getting your knickers in a knot over having to wait a few extra minutes for your pizza, to the extent of raving on the internet about it, seems a little out of perspective.
Big cities seem to encourage a society based on grievance and aggression, with people fighting to improve their share at someone else's expense.
So they stuffed up, and you had to wait a few minutes more. So what...?
Take a deep breath, chill out, and drink a large glass of perspective and soda. :sunny:

dude how would you react if you went into a bike shop after buying a new bike to go pick it up and go on your first blat to be told "I'm sorry sir, we have lost your paperwork for this purchase you might have to wait longer till we sort this out"
what would you do if you had i tight schedule that this was going to effect your day.

Speaking of pizzas, when in Whangamata for the Beach Hop a few weeks ago we had the best pizza we'd ever tasted from Laurenzos. Great service and plenty of tasty topping. About $20 but it was worth every cent. Glad I don't live nearby though, I'd be the size of Parekura Horomia otherwise!
