RocKai, I'm guessing you've assumed Taiwan, who have very tense relations with China is actually China.

Taiwan is not in China and is a different land mass. Although China still argues that the land belongs to them. So there has been this stand off.

When I think of Taiwan I think of a place I can travel safely, with a system similar to anywhere in the west. High food standards, excellent infrastructure etc.

Just thought I'd let you know.

Oh and the driving was pretty normal. High traffic congestion means that four lanes can become 5. There is an art to it and it has more of an organic flow where lanes aren't owned like they are here and people aren't offended and don't take to offensive road rage to assert their dominance and protect their patch of road.

No, wrong again. Kuomingtang (Chinese Nationalist Party) ruled both China and Taiwan at the end of WWII, but in 1949 the Communists defeated them and they fled to Taiwan. The Communists never ruled Taiwan, and China's rule of Taiwan ended in 1895.

He tells how he followed a drunk and watches him lose control and do a 360 then drives off. He didn't realise he hit the other car that stopped till he sees the guy get out of the car and look at it. Miraculously this TWAT remembers the licence plate gets off his bike and gives it to the guy. Both of them sit there call the cops and when the cops come the guy recounts his story. So the cop apparently says how did you know he was drunk. TWAT says "well when the car did the 360 and stopped I went over and punched the window a few times but couldn't break it"... What a cock he is. A few sentences earlier the car spins stops then drives off, he doesn't notice the crash but then sees the guy looking at his car and hopes off his bikes and goes over. So which story is it.

So "Rockai" and co... let's see if I have this right. You post some youtube of a guy who suffers from a lack of attention. The guy exaggerates and lies and is so full of bullshit it's hard to tell where it starts and where it stops then you make critisicisms of the Taiwan police because of this jerk saying he has a problem with them.

I'd say nothing. The driving seems normal. Different countries of different accepted levels of driving. I have a client who comes from the middle east and when her returns from Iran you do not hop in the car with him for 3 weeks. It takes about that long for him to get the driving style out of his system. The first time I went with him after returning I thought the guy had a death wish.

Of course go to Brisbane and drive on the motorway and all the cars pass and move left. very civilised. The right lane is often empty. Coming to NZ from Aus and you think fuck where did these folks learn to drive.

Currently we have to pass on the left for a slow car in the right lane. NZ Police announced they are looking to get new laws introduced making it illegal to pass on the left here.

So after the law comes in you'll have to tail gate the slow driver in the fast lane. I was behind one the other day doing 80 kmph. So we'll get people flashing tehir lights, tail gating, tooting horns and then road rage as a result of the new rules.

We should just do what they do in Oz. If you don't move left after passing and stay out in the second or third lane when there is no one on your left then you get ticketed. It seems much smarter to me.

I am not looking forward to the law that bans passing on the left. I think they're ticketing the wrong people.

When the new law arrives some self righteous person will blindly sit in the outside lane knowing you can do nothing.

I must write in to make my views known before we get a law we don't need.

Of course the new law would mean open season on bikes. And what chance do I have of getting a car doing 80 kmph in the outside lane to move left.

The fact is the guy in the video tells a story where the second half contradicts the first half. Clearly he makes it up as he goes. Without the contradictions the story's just seem way over the top.
