I'm moving to a new farm this weekend so i cant ride with my usual riding mates, we usually take turns at driving to barret park and trail rides so we save a bit of money. also i dont know of any decent tracks in that area.

also have you been to baileys out at hawera?
or hurleys track out behind normanby?
my mate has a winter crop that will be finished end of august so after calving we are going to make a track on it, it not flat so will add some more jumps, and we can keep it all summer long.
the owners have a digger too so hopefully we can use that.

also i have a mate just out past eltham with a big drystock unit that we can ride , but the slack prick i am have never ridden it all.
it is used on the eltham trail ride.
also a new place i have never been to is a mate told me the other day about his mate that has some big arse hills and bit of a track that we can go try out.
so there are a few options going around, it mostly about time for me .

when you done the whanga rd did you just ride out to the bridge and back?
we know the owner of the station past the bridge and can go through his farm past the bridge and loop back to the pub.
and there are heaps of tracks on his station .
there is the shearers quarters where a guy i know stays when groups go riding out there for a couple days.
we should sort a couple days out there when the moos are dry.

It's about halfway up on the right, at the top of the rise about 250m past the Stuart Road corner. The factory at the Hastings/Finnerty Road corner is what's left of the Lowgarth factory. That merged with the Ngaere dairy factory in the late 60s. The Lowgarth Hall was our primary school's hall, even though it was several miles up the road.
