Wow its been a mission.....
I have been offline for a whole week as I had no anti-virus protection...
yep there was another thread started by me asking if anyone could help...
but I cant find it to add on to it...
4000 new posts to get throu....sheesh.. you have all been busy....lol.
Ok I want to thank Ramius for all his wonderful help. :spudwave:
He sent me a disc in the snail mail form on the 1st March..... and yep I am still waiting for it to arrive.... the package is out there somewhere on this planet. The disc was coming from Gisborne to Auckland.
So then he sent me another disc via courier post on the 7th March.... well according to NZ Couriers they only got it in their hands on the 8th...... anyway it finally arrived in my hands on the 9th at 12noon.
So there I was loading it in.... Ramius had sent txt messages re the installment... but I still did something wrong.... (no I aint a blonde lol) and had to uninstall it.... so I started again..... with the wonderful help of Ramius phoning me and talking me throu some stuff.... now loading up Norton anti-virus 2005 is a mission.... I finally got it loaded up....
Great I am up and running again ....

I then had problems with it not shutting off properly.... and I couldnt access the net or even check my emails...
So I then rung Xtra and asked if they were having probs.... Nope they checked a few things out said turn off the comp for 5 minutes...
so 20 minutes later I was still having problems..
Back to Xtra.... turns out they reckon my modem aint up to scratch to handle the 2005 version....
I txted Ramius asking stuff.... and I eventually rung him....
it turns out that after 9 hours.... yep 9 hours of trying to get 2005 installed that my CPU500 is not fast enough to cope with 2005 version.
So I uninstalled it again.....
I then put on a 2003 version.......and it was expired.... but I waited for the email from Ramius with a email with a decoded attachment to add to it....
I received it but I can't open the attachment......
Yep by this time I was hitting my head against the wall and pulling my hair out... :brick: :brick: :angry2: :brick:
So in the meantime I have downloaded AGV to my system until I can get the attachment re-sent to me that I can open.
So last night I though ya I will come and see whats happened on KB and I couldnt get in.....
Ramius you are truely wonderful...... and I truely thank you for all your help over the past few days.......I owe you a few beers...
So whilst I was offline, I spent 3 days waterblasting my home, fences, decks and driveway. Fixed the holes in the gutters and the hole in my garage roof. 2 days cleaning out my garage. Plus some short blasts on the bike....
and ordered in parts for the bike - the swing arm is loose, so buying new bushes and a rear wheel bearing...
Thats my wee rant.... so now to go and read thousands of posts....lol
