USA: North Carolina legislators are proposing the introduction of a training class before issuing a motorcycle licence.

Current laws state that applicants must pass a written test and then ride round cones at the DMV, but the new proposals will add an on-road element (rather like the UK CBT).

North Carolina reported in excess of 140 motorcycle fatalities in 2008.

Here we have "on street" tests. After your written and closed circuit tests, you have to pass a street test, riding a bike on a city followed by a examination car and linked by radio.
