Triumph Speedy/Daytona suspension

Anyone know much about them?

Got a 04 Speedy 955 and a 06 Daytona 955.
The Speedy is so fucking hard riding in the rear its amazing.
Bounces me everywhere.
Have tried everything I've found on the net to sort and have gone back to the stock settings.
Someone who had one told me that thats the way they are, but dunno.

The Daytona is a lot better but has only 2000kms on and its really noticable the difference between the two how better it rides, but still needs to be sorted.

I'm open to any ideas, if anyone can assit.

Ya found this one Tony ! Cant see the 03 and 04 being much different and i've managed to get the 955 sitting pretty well on the track !

Its probably what you dont want to hear but there is no way any amount of external twiddling and even a spring change is going to turn that shock into a silk purse! Racing application has first priorities of chassis / ride height control, maximising grips and laptimes. Comfort is of less importance and you know where the bumps are every lap. But I suspect you want comfort to take account of the bumps that our roads dish up. External clickers have only a relatively small effect and will not fundamentally alter the character of the shock. And the character of that very shock is that it has a very progressive piston that chokes off at relatively low shaft velocities. You could take the shims off that piston and ( assuming you could maintain ride height ) it would still jolt you over the abrupt bumps. The fact is its a cheap shock and if you replace it with a cheap shock you will still get a cheap result and be disappointed.

Hmm, yeah kinda had the feeling that was going to be the answer from what other Triumph guy's have said.
Is it an aftermarket replacement that will make all well with the world?

Workmate who posts here as Stampy has a Speed Trip thats he has put a bit of time and money into - he says Ohlins rear and Shaun Harris reworked front have made it a totally different bike (for the better)
