i have had good results with doing this on one heat cycle and about 20-30kms.
go right to the edges gradually, and in one ride its worn in, no chicken strips.
just dont get too hard on the gas or brakes, and throw the bike over, but dont corner "hard"
anyone else have a different way?

That's roughly how I do it although I build up to the edges over a few heat cycles and about 100km. That mainly because I don't usually have time to go for a decent ride straight after getting new tyres.
Scrubbing in a tyre isn't as hard as people like to make it.
