Hi guys.

I have just recently purchased a rgv150 bike. I am getting around to changing the oil (under the seat) to use castrol tts oil. I am just wondering whether i should pour it in (even with the old oil in) or will this create problems? otherwise how do i go about draining the old oil so i can put in the new oil?

Thanks!

Scotty

Dude, that's a two stroke. Firstly, you don't ever change the oil (unless you adulterate it in some way); secondly you should use a specific two stroke oil.

Read the manual, for the sake of the little two smoker.

Yeah i know its a two stroke. The oil that is currently in the tank looks pretty shitty and i want to use some good stuff. I have heard that if you mix two different two stroke oils that they can turn jellyish. Just wanting to know if i can top it up with a different type of oil to what is already in there as i dont know what is in there at the moment.

Pretty much all modern two stroke oils are compatible. If you must replace what is there, just drain it out by undoing one of the connections. Top up with fresh. You may need to bleed the oil lines, refer to your manual.

I have a manual, for $50 + postage, it's yours....
