To all Christchurch riders.
Did any of you happen to see a guy driving a red and white hotdog bus last night number plate HOTK9 from about 9pm last night being driven between Shirley and Brooklands?
This bus was stolen and burnt out. This has left a good friend of mine in a terrible state. She now has no way to feed her kids or pay her rent as this was her job. There will be no insurance cover because of the person that stole it and set it on fire.....We know who did it but need a witness to come forward.... Please help if you saw anything.... This fucker needs sorted out before he really hurts her....again. Oh yea it has been reported to the police but they say no witness no case!! Even though they know who it was...
HELP

I don't see how the Insurance cover depends on the Police getting an arrest or not.

Its got nothing to do with wether they get an arrest. I cant say more than that sorry because it would identify the person we know is responcable and we want a witness that does not require any prompting to pick out the driver...

Thanks we have already done checked with the paper and we can run an advert (that looks like a news feature) for a cost which i am happy (well not happy but you know what i mean) to pay for...Yes checked with the local shops 1 has video cctv and it does catch a glimpse of the bus but not the driver unfortunately. He had it well planned and had an accomplice driving a dark coloured Hitop nissan patrol. The bus was driven thru security gates so would have had some frontal damage, possably a headlight out or no lights at all.

The only reason that I could think of going by that logic, is that the person that owns the vehicle took it back. Ex-husband in a jealous fit of rage perhaps trying to get back at the ex-wife for not letting him see the kids etc etc.
It sounds like your gently asking someone to have seen something.

Definitly not "asking" someone "to have seen something".
And wont comment about your logic.......although "owns" apparently is a loose term without legal standing....... according to the police.....

If you know the route the person took I'd recommend give this a shot.
See if there is any security cameras en-route (it will be recorded) service stations, shops, banks, atm's, council street cameras, even the national roads board has then now!
It may be worth a shot.

Hmmmmm Hot Dogs.
The dogs at the stand at Placemakers Riccarton are excellent.
Sorry to hear your tale. Hopefully it all works out well.
