If you were given a fully restored motorcycle with a full fairing on it and all it needed was a paint job, what colour/colours would you paint it and what name would you give it?

Thats sounds Cool Skunk calling a bike "Skippy" as long as it doesn't perform like 1. I thought you would have said Green and called it the Hulk?

'Ice Blue' like the old Kawasaki Z1Rs from the late 70s. About the same shade of blue as the background colour around the user name / avatar area up above. (I hope that the site colour scheme is universal and not customisable otherwise people will think I'm stoopid.) Name? 'Mr Bike'? I Dunno.

Sully60
25th April 2009, 11:33
( fucking wierd).

That would be a cool name for an orange and pink bike with Pams logos.

I do agree though why mess with the factory paint job you wouldn't go changing a true classic like this (http://www.mrufer.ch/motorrad/forum_linked/IMG_3388_box.jpg).:msn-wink:

Much better to start with a clean canvas. (http://www.hotbodiesracing.com/images/bikes/188_sub_1-race_bodywork-honda-2002-06-rs250.jpg)

hit the alsa corp website and drool... i use their products on some of my custom helmet jobs and on a few show car projects. Mirror chromes, candies, marbles, heat related colour changers, shimmers, camelions you name it and all mixable for new effects!

Shaun S
30th April 2009, 09:34
Fuck, who names a bike and who gives a shit what colour it is.

Hitcher
30th April 2009, 09:48
A motorcycle is a member of the family and consequently deserves a name. Descriptions like "The Honda" or "The Harley" are cold and harsh. Bikes notice that sort of thing and respond accordingly, often adversely, particularly if an adjective like "fucking" is inserted.

Bikes have feelings. Please respect them.

vifferman
30th April 2009, 09:55
I'd paint it so it looked all scratched'n'scraped, so it wouldn't matter if 'stuff happened'.
I'm not big on names, but if I used one it'd be a big name, like "Uselessworthlessmotherfuckinscumsuckinsonofabitchp ileofcrap". :eek5:

Shaun S
30th April 2009, 09:56
So "the bike" and "the rider" would not work then?

Fine I will bite then, lulu should be black - there is no other colour right?

Fuck, I have joined a site that strange people frequent haven't I?
