Mean ride today... Met up with Neil ["450Darling" - Built the track] and his family. Good day, perfect conditions. Ya missed out Ash. Hope ya wrist is better soon Neil.

Unfortanatly they are all of me, which makes me look like a friggin poser, but what the hell, here they are

Photos are of the 2 new jumps and Chris Singletons Aussie Enduro practice log crossing. Bigger that it appears on Camera.

the one over the gorse is largeish, and not even a part of the track at the mo, the other is a step up that you can hit as fast or as slow as you want. Every jump on the track can be avoided though

Jeez that jump over the gorse looks pretty damn big haha. I'd imagine this place gets pretty slippery in the wet. If it's dry enough on Sunday might bring the bikes down for a play.

A lot of the time yeah, if you say when your gonna be there I can turn up.

Havnt been there in a few weeks as its been pissing down or theres been a mx on, so not sure on the cond of the track. There will prob be some huge ruts but its all good

Yeah its 50ft or so... Last time I was there a guy on a 125 tried to clear it in 2nd :laugh:... He came up short and barely cleared the gorse. So far I have only seen 2 people land it, and 4 people attempt. Its bloody good fun.

Haha i'm on a 250 two stroke.... my rear tyre is ripped to shit :clap: Will see how weather goes over the weekend as to where we are gonna ride.

Yeah i feel your pain... Its worth it though (the pictures were from before I got my YZ).

Most of the track drys out pretty quick and becomes tacky. The long 5th gear straight takes prob a week to dry out as its shaded, and people tend to miss the turn at the end and go straight off the track into the bushes. But that just keeps it interesting. Waaaay better track than these perfectly groomed poofter tracks like Ardmore or Slater. Whatawhata is steep, rutted and has decent jumps. Great track for fitness.

Track looks good i havnt been since febuary or march thought it would have been to wet, also i have probobly only done 10 hours of riding since then. Jump looks good :) Keen to hit that come summer time.

I've had a few friends who've gone out there & all say it was great, if a little slippery when wet. I have to make it a mission to try it out because it's so close for me in Ngaruawahia, just up the road.

yeah that was over a year ago, too many people hurt themselves, tracks much tamer now :(

and yes, with a light sprinkling it becomes like ice, either go in the dry or the soaking wet
