Well , now I've done it . Due to the fantastic response about NZSBK I have decided to get something going for all motorcycle sport in this country. There will be no forum as such , as Kiwi Biker and Holeshot do a great job with this.

I have a new site coming up in the next few weeks probably more like mid to late May , which is for coverage of all motorcycle sport in New Zealand. However I will need to know dates and stuff to put on the sites calendar.

I will also need a hand with Info and content. Everything from Junior road racing through to supers.

Shaun I will need a hand with some of your tales from overseas etc."Gremlins tales?". Anyone else?

Oh by the way , I will need a small amount of support for hosting fees for the year , but that's it , nothing more no less.

If you are interested in helping out contact me via email fkmnzl@gmail.com

Hi Chow,

Would people be able to register or something, and have updated info sent to them at their e-mail address?? Would be great for upcoming events.

Wow , I'm just blown away by the support this is getting. Scrivy the answer is yes , you will be able to subscribe to email etc. By the way I will need all your details on your December meeting plus link etc. Also I think we can arrange to have live updates from that meeting , as we will be their for the old timers get together.

Can you pass to wanganui and get someone to contact me as we probably be able to the same for Manfeild and Wanganui.

Oh by the way I posted this idea on the MX holeshot website and was asked why the other site was shut down. This is my reply. And I no longer wish to comment on it , it is yesterday , we are looking for tomorrow.

Hi Ricey

It is a long story about the whole site , but I'm sick of being negative. Anyway the site shut down because 1) Came to the end of it's term or contract(if you like). And also the budget ran out.It was only ever for the superbike championships. And now with Paul Stewart not standing and the hassles we had , I really wasn't that interested anymore in continuing. So cut the cord.

But the fantastic response I have had and seen has made me realise it is our sport , and it deserves coverage. And as I have had a lot to do with all forms (2 wheel anyway)over my 37 years of in the sport of motorcycling.

The sport (all discplines need coverage) but I'm fully aware that if you wait around for others to do things it normally never happens.

This year we have the World Junior MX Championships , we don't want it the best keep secret do we?

I would just like to point out , that I'm not a journalist , I have nothing to do with any motorcycle organisation or company , in fact I'm a Motorcycle Postie!

I have let my views be known on other threads and yes I'm a good Friend of Jim Tuckerman , but let me say he has no tie with the proposed website , although his company still owns the original NZSBK Domain Name.

I too have emailed the Chow offering financial support to keep a site like this running Shaun !

But i will add a copy of a post i just made into another thread !

Kudos to you Ian, i did read your reason for closing the SBK site and on ya for starting up this one ! BUT i do have to wonder why we need one for every style of racing, when MNZ governs them all ?

Posted today into http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?p=1129187707#post1129187707

Well, i'd say email me anyway cause ya never know, but your dead to rights !

I got pointed to silverbullet (www.silverbullet.co.nz)today by a MX juniors parent and thought cool, had a look ummm cool if your an MX !

Saw that it can be added to by anyone and have to wonder why aint it full of upcoming road race events ?

The new site that the chow's settin up sounds great, but i have to ask why aint the ones we have now being utilised ?

Will the one he is now setting up be utilised to it's fullest or will it be a flash in the pan while there are elections going on (and fade into the past, after these flame threads die down post election)?

Or is it a matter of "oh shit, we've let it slide to this level ! Who the fuck can we blame for this mess" ?

I may be wrong (being a relatively new reader of the flame threads going on around here and i have kept relatively quiet through them) but it's looking to me that rather than saying shoot the secretary of this club, Shoot the ceo of that organisation, etc etc !

Maybe it should be sugested to this secretary of this club, sugested to a ceo of that organisation, that perhaps if any road racing were advertised in with MX sites, that are obviously frequented by motorcycle enthusiasts, like the lad who's father it was who first pointed me at silverbullet (www.silverbullet.co.nz), who, for a matter of interest, is carrying the number 2 on his MX bike and i talked him into comming to watch a round at manfield and is now very keen to enter road racing (Year or so) ! But hey all he sees is MX on the site he looks at !

Looks like anyone can do this advertising !
I'm about to go (rather than comment as to the effectiveness of someone i don't know) have a crack at signing up and add anything i might know thats coming up to that site ! So that ppl ie: racers , spectators, prospective racers, prospective spectators, that find it or i tell, can add it to their favourites (because its the only one i know of ATM)
