I went out with the kids on the bikes this arvo, it all started when the ds80 fell off the trailer(taking me with it) while loading, then the ct125 jammed my fingers while tying it down, then then we got to our riding spot, the ct "fell over" (got dropped by 12yo) on me while I was cleaning the plug on the fk'n stupid ds80, trying to get it to start, smashing my head into the motor (ouch), then my foot slipped off the kicker of said ds, smashing my shin into the footpeg (picture donald ducks rising anger), but hey, it started.........
then mr 6s pw50 siezed up for some reason, suspected drive shaft bearing (no biggie, but sucks anyway)
the ds80 kept fouling plugs, then refused to do anything but idle
then the 12yo crashed my ct125, breaking lights and levers and such
then my rc heli crapped out
then my wife nutted cos we were late home
and to top it off, I thought I'd ride to work tonight so I could at least get a ride in, so I pulled the trusty Z200 out of the shed, it started nicely after a couple of kicks(been sitting for a few months) so I give it a rev and chuck it into gear
It turns out the clutch is a bit siezed from sitting, bike takes of with a big jolt, I crashed into (already shitty) wifes car :shit:
then while freeing stuck clutch plates with a screwdriver I reached up and gave the front brake a good squeeze, thinking its the clutch.
the cable snapped
so I decided to give up on bikes for the day, I still have a cbx400, and an RD 350 that go, but I decided to cut my losses incase I ended up on the road.......
Oh, the brake cable for the Z200 is discontinued by Kawasaki, and its an oddball one (cable operated disk)
so, can anyone help?

Convert your front brake to a hydraulic one. Cable calipers are never really that good.
All you'd need to do is to make a mounting bracket on the fork for the caliper you decided to use.

You couldn't just get a new inner made up, or are the little nubbins on either end a bit weird too?
You poor bugger! I wouldn't touch the CBX or RD either!

yeah I'd be keen for that, the brake is quite shit, but theres no wreckers here so i cant just pop down on saturday morning for a rummage.
anyone got any calipers and stuff?

nah I could make one up, but for some reason I feel a bit iffy about cable brakes at the moment, I used to make 'em up all the time with no worries....

so let me see if I have this right...
- your wife isn't happy with you.
- your bikes don't like you.
- and your kid crashed your bike.
- and this is normal for you.
Me thinks you should try and stay karma when dealing with these things.
Clearly a little more love aimed at everything in your life may be more useful combined with a little less aggression.
I really enjoyed this line
"and gave the front brake a good squeeze, thinking its the clutch."
Now did your kids learn some new words? A friend of mine realised he was swearing too much when a stinking sheep truck went past and the soon to be 5 year old looks at Dad and says
"That's some fucking stinking fucking shit eh Dad!"
All dad could say was "Yes it is". Sounds like you've had the same stuff.
So on the plus side;
- you had a great day out with the kids on the bike
- you got to work on the bikes
- you got to make a big impression on your wifes car and made it look like an accident
Sounds like a good day.
