Hi all, like to let you know of my recent experience with getting parts for my GSXR 1100 h. This probably is of interest mostly to Suzuki riders in Christchurch.
Went to Sportzone for a kit for the clutch master cylinder and the slave cylinder. was quoted $71 for one and $244 for the slave. Also wanted the small nylon swivel bearings for the headlights and they told me no longer available.
Got in touch with a place in Melbourne Australia called Raceway Suzuki, http://www.racewaysuzuki.com.au/ They provided al parts for A$50 including postage. The response to my first inquiry was within 1 hour of emailing them.
So if you want parts for your Suzuki, give them a thought, could save you lots of dollars. By the by took 8 days to get the parts delivered.
:woohoo:

Hey Rick, did you email Moto-Dynamix for a price on Suzuki parts here in New Zealand?

Yep
Suzuki has the parts tied up alright.
I had to buy a complete light bar for my C50T just to replace one side light.
Cost $644 and took a week to get from Wangas to Hastings.
Incidently was about the same price to ship it from the states, probally would have taken the same amount of time too.

There is a new Suzuki dealer in CHCH now - Avon City Suzuki - next door to Avon City Ford by the Sockburn Roundy.
Nice shop, pleasant chaps and they are selling a surprisingly high number of bikes. A least with two it offers a price comparison.

Went to to sportzone a while ago for a part for my crappy HJC helmet.
Forget what the exact price was but I asked for discount and was berated by the cock in the shop for asking. He said something really dumb, "when you go to the supermarket do you expect to get a discount?", reply "well actually yes that's why I go the supermarket" - what a dick. I said I would rather buy an new helmet than pay that and walked out.
Went across to Pit Lane and got a good discount on a new helmet.
From my experience its no wonder they are not there any longer.
Its all about goodwill.

That feels better.

You only get a discount from the supermarket on discounted items. You don't walk up to a checkout and say "this item is priced at $XXX but can you do me a discount?"

Fair cop Katman.
However, I was treated very badly and I am still pissed about it.
And, I was wrong - they are still there, just moved up the road a bit.
