Well, i'm tekNomad, and I just met jrandom at galbraiths (randomly) and after he ever-so-politely intruded on my'n-my-friend's conversation he talked me into posting on here. Or rather, he tried to, and I'm not sure whether he thought he succeeded, therefore here I am.
I'm an ex-computer-geek and have been riding bicycles since I was 8yo and motorcycles for about a year cumulatively. First had a Z250LTD, then an XV250, and now have a broken-down GN250 (busted alternator and something else with the ignition, probably sparkplug, someone please help!). So ATM don't really consider self a biker since haven't ridden for 8 months (except for riding my best friend's fiancee's ZZR back to his place from where he bough it) but jrandom reckoned I was. So I dunno.
Currently I'm studying to be a therapeutic masseur (already qualified in relaxation massage) and paying the rent by working at a call centre. I also enjoy rock climbing, dancing & capoeira.

Hi mate, welcome aboard! Seems quite a few members have joined by word of mouth. Infact, probably most I reckon???
So you into martial arts then? I did karate (Goju Ryu) for about 2 years. I really enjoyed it, it's yet another thing I'd like to get back into one day...
Hope you get your bike sorted, or get another one.
See ya,
Dave.

Yes.

See here (http://www.capoeira.com/) for more info. But the general gist is it was started by African slaves in Brazil, they hid the fact they were practicing fighting (obviously a no-no for slaves) by doing it to music and making it look like a dance. Some of the moves you might recognize as they were picked up by brake dancers.

Similar sort of thing goes on in Britain at nightclubs up and down the country, the traditional cry of "wotyoofukkinlookinat" is heard above the music and the dance begins.Stylistic, but usually in-effectual,arm-flailing is performed to the music by skinny young guys wearing burberry caps.End of the dance is signalled by several large participants wearing black suits "dancing" over anyone in the way and performing a series of moves that end in the ejection of the performers onto the street.Particularly enthusiastic dancing by one of the participants can result in a duet "out the back" with one of the larger black-clad performers.
