Hey people, I am Brett. I currently do not have a motorbike...but I love them and am on the hunt for one ASAP!
I can't make my mind up on what I want. The CBR250RR is a lovely machine but a bike such as an RGV250 is sooo much cheaper!

I will be getting one soon, and these forums have been very very helpfull so thank you!

I'm sure you've gone thru some threads already and you'll have a good idea of what you are getting yourself into! :yeah:

As for your bike options, The CBR is a good learners bike and looks pretty cool too. The RGV is a good speedster and I'm a fan of 2-strokers but there are maintenance 'issues' with them. If you are technically savvy you'll be sweet!

Hey Brett, welcome.

There are lots of threads on buying a bike, have a look around. Till then, I can recommend the CBR250, a great allround learners bike, and pretty darn quick for a 250...

Here's my first bike, which I've since sold: '87 Honda CBR250

The CBR is a nice bike and will probebly suit you, the RGV being a 2 smoker will be almost twice the power of the CBR

I test drove a 91 cbr250rr 2 weeks ago.... awesome bike to start on (so darn easy!) but got a zxr250c instead as i felt it needed more respect and would be a bigger learning curve.......Cbr250 is a very nice bike (sounded better too) and highly reccomended.
