Surely a 6-mega CBX1000 would do it, if nothing else could

Not actually floating about, but these are available from Pipemaster in Brisbane. The headers are chrome and the 6 mufflers are stainless [I think].
They usually make them to order, but there was one set in stock when I rang.
Took 3 days across the Tasman and about twice that to get them from customs in Auckland.
Cheap too.....NOT..

Last time I enquired (about Christmas time) they were quoting AU$2500 including freight. Correct on the stainless mufflers/chromed mild steel header combo :)
These: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DELKEVIC-CBX1000-cbx-1000-79-82-Exhaust-Pipes-Mufflers_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ72Q3a1171Q7c6 6Q3a2Q7c65Q3a12Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1318Q7c301Q3a1Q7c 293Q3a1Q7c294Q3a50QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhash Zitem170323061786QQitemZ170323061786QQptZMotorcycl esQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories are apparently a pretty good replica exhaust if you want the stock look/sound and have had pretty good reviews. More suitable to the 78-79 models than the 1980 model though. (presuming you have a twin shock model?)
There are some Kerker 6 into 2's that come up on Ebay occasionally but pretty hard to get anything in good condition for much less than US$800 plus freight.

Original pipes are worth more than some bikes - approx US$2000 per side for new or mint ones!

Note: The above prices don't include GST which you will almost certainly get pinged for - the Customs guys have a pretty good handle on what things are worth these days, and there's no disguising a six cylinder exhaust system....

Good luck with your search.

Not strictly a 'replica' system as the muffler ends are quite different, as is the exhaust tone and also it doesn't run the stock collector heat shields. However, still a nice system and a tad cheaper than the ones quoted above. Laser in Holland(?) also do a similar system.

Whatever you do, do not buy the MAC system that you often see on EBay, they are absolute crap - only good if you have absoloutely nothing else and just want to get the bike running.

You can buy the Marving system from CBXMan.com (http://www.cbxman.com/SearchResult.aspx?CategoryID=134)

Tims CBX International often have good used or restored systems, but they aren't the cheapest people around, I see they have the Delkevic system (as per the EBay link in my previous post) at US$300 more than they are selling for on EBay. However, they do have good things to say about it.

I see that Delkevic is now set up in Australia and is selling their systems on EBay Australia too: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/HONDA-CBX-1000-Z-FULL-REPLICA-EXHAUST-SYSTEM!_W0QQitemZ280336391398QQcmdZViewItemQQimsxZ 20090421?IMSfp=TL090421127001r9642#ShippingPayment

Probably pay to let us know the year and model of your bike for better advice. If you just want to get the old girl running I might have a spare 6 into1 of indeterminate origin I could be persuaded to part with.... :)

Here's a pic of the Delkevic system compared to the Marving:

I run Kerkers, handmade in the factory. 3 into 1 x 2 (obviously).

I also have the complete stock exhaust including headers (not for sale). But, I don't think they'd be that hard to copy...
