300km/h though.. that's not that fast. Don't most sportsbikes go that fast these days?

DarkLord

Erm... I didn't even see the bike go past on that road... was it just too fast or something?? lol....

Patrick Furstenhof has been associated with the Ghostrider (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghost_Rider_(motorcycle_stuntman)) phenomenon. I say phenomenon because there is speculation that there are more than one rider involved. I hear that he (or at least one of them - maybe - Joakim Karlsson) died at IoM TT 2005.

At least one has got to wonder why the 5th video was such a long time in the pipeline.

Ah, metrics originated in Europe. It's the Americans that are a bit slow to come on board.

I'm a bit curious about what mods you've put on your 2009 Kwaka Ninja that will take the top-speed above 200 km/h... Have you got a turbo for it?

cambridgedan
12th June 2009, 23:05
Well to be honest I havnt had it to 200 but I have had it to 175 with no mods and it still had more left I just didn't really Wana do much more as I'm not the most experienced road rider

You'd be lucky to get 190 I think. Everyone I've spoken to on their gpx/ninja only ever gets 180-190 (indicated) regardless of gearing, and it would take some serious engine work (not just a pipe and tune) to get 200

Laxi

zzr tops out at 180 and I definatly wouldnt hold it there for any lenghth of time, 150s about it for sustained top speed

Don't push it to 200 on the roads mate it's dangerous....especially on a 250 :D

The French don't do a bad job of wine, cooking and kisses. And where would you be without their letters?

on a stupid piece of paper it says top speed 177kmph but i was doing 175 and it still wasn't near redline and wasn't struggling, :niceone: and thats stock so im usre if you modded it you could get more again :D

wbks
13th June 2009, 18:16
On a stupid piece of paper is an accurate speed reading, on speedo is an inaccurate reading that gradually gets further off the real mark the faster you go. For example, someone mentioned on here a while ago of an Hayabusa reading out 350 kph or something like that on the speedometer when the laser readout was barely 300
