I know there is an online trading area but it seems mostly for bikes - apologies to mods - I'll understand if you move this

My father passed away in October last year and he leaves behind a few items that I figure some good old boys would probably be keen on. They include:

1 Tanner 10" table saw. Goes but needs a little TLC
1 Older B & W skill saw (9 1/4" I think)
2 Outboard motors of the smaller variety (prolly 10-15Hp I'd have to look closer)
1 laser level

There is also the usual household stuff and an assortment of the sorts of bits and pieces that 66 year olds have lying around in their garages (sash clamps, hand tools etc)

The estate is in a little bit of debt so I can't offer them for totally free but I can offer them very cheap and I'd rather offer them to the good people on here (and even the not so good ones) before I offer them to the tight bastards on TardMe

PM if any of these sound intriguing - They are all in Avondale if anyone wants to inspect - perhaps I could have a private KB garage sale or sumfink if there is interest

If anyone can recommend someone who buys houselots or wants to give me a tip for moving this stuff in bulk I'd appreciate that too

cheers

@ Mully - mostly mechanical - i haven't got them very well organised yet and there aren't that many - there's still a bit to sort through - but I'm sure there'll be a few that are useful to someone. I also noticed there was a small Ryobi Grinder - handheld job - almost brand new by the looks

he was a bit of hoarder my old man - but there was a fair amount of crap - the old "you never know when I might need that!"

if mechanical tools are of interest then I'll do an inventory next time I'm over and post full details

Cheap mechanical tools are of interest.

If you could let me know, that'd be great.

Not sure RM

I haven't tried to start them to see if they are OK. They look like they'll go - no obvious signs of problems but who knows

I can take a closer look next time I'm over there and let you know

There is a on overhead router head amongst his gear

The computer controlled variety - pretty specialist bit of kit but if you are interested I can let you know about it

It works but will need bushes replaced

Both are Johnsons - one x 7.5 one x 15 (workhorse)

I gave both Johnsons a good tug and they seem to be 'operational'

Cheers MBB and McD

It's a funny thing when your dad passes away - kind of your last right of passage "It's all over to you now son..." very weird feeling

He wasn't a biker my old man but he was a lover of engineering - planes especially

He has a couple of claims to fame - he built the first 'A' frame house in NZ and in the Lord of the Rings movies he and my brother made the Pilantia used by Sarumon and the pots that Sam carries for most of the film kind of nice seeing them
