Hello guys! I recently decided that I might as well take the domain name because it was available!!! Which really surprised me.
I plan to eventually get the site www.nzbikers.co.nz going, at this stage i've just bought the domain name and am starting to make the website.
I plan to keep things simple at this stage and make it into a site specifically targeting those new to biking (at least for starters).
It will include information on how to get a license in NZ as well as information on protection and links to useful websites.
I know it has probably already been done, but when I was looking for information myself it was annoying having to go through quite a lot of sites to get the information that I needed. I thought that if I made a website that has all the information in one place that it would be a cool thing to do!
I guess what I'd like is your ideas and thoughts regarding the "to be" website. :)
PS: *Its in the planning stages.
Cheers you guys,
Vorno.

First off don't add a forum!
Otherwise advice on all the learner bikes available would be good as that is the most commonly asked question here.
Oh and make it a decent/simple design unlike all other motorcycle websites in NZ which look like they were made by 12 year olds.

Yeah, I got the basic design done, keeping it simple. The only "fancy" thing are roll-over buttons, other than that it is very straight forward.
And if worst comes to worst im sure that I can make some money selling the domain name :P
PS: Sorry mate but im not far off from a 12yr old! im 19!!
I say good on ya and good luck, yea theres a few bike sites out there but in many cases newbies have to put up with a whole lot off bullshit from supposed old hands,as i say good luck.

You got a bit of time on your hands?
Well see if you can come up with some innovative idea which could potentially make you some money or even set you up to make some money in the future.
I wana know your thoughts? Good idea/thought, see if you can expand on it and spot any commercial potential??
WOW:eek5:

yeh well most ppl consider 19 to be young and retarded!

Waving. Insurance. Which 250? Buying gear for less than $200. Filtering. Performance enhancements for 250s. Advice on riding in groups. Falling Off 101. Yes, tyres need tread. The Police are your friends.
There are a few topics to get you started. Please add a forum.
Add: Riding with an L plate on the motorway; Riding scooters in jandals; The merits of not having a reg/wof; The advantages of buying a bike from skidmark; Upside down forks are the shizz; What is better - being unemployed or being unemployable?

The rideforever site is funded - pretty hard to compete with.
I think there would be real benefit in something published by a 19 year old for 19 year olds.
You should perhaps make it more of a personal journey and pass on what you learn - and have learned - and invite others to contribute.
If you do it right I'll banner exchange with you on KR - for starters.

Been a while since I even pretended to be a teenager and I'm a bit rusty, but I think that translates to: Triumph are doing a limited run of 675's in white with blue frame & swingarm.

Dont be discouraged mate, I think it is a great thing to be doing, as others have said there are plenty of things you can include in your site that we dont have now. Do some serious market research, and some not so serious market research and go for it! Back it 100% and you will do well. Mind you an old granny like me cant help you much, but I can sit back here and encourage you :D

I suspect a 19-year-old's version may be more like:
"Fuckin Whoar Mate! Daitoner ain't no Gixxer, and it dont sux like homos on Honders. LOL."
