Just a few pix from Ardmore yesterday... Very good turn out, very good track conditions...
How's the hand blackbird, looked nasty. Lot's of hugs and sympathy when you got home?
Grace (440) has really stepped up and is getting good starts, she drops back through the field to about mid pack, but is still going strong at the end of the 20min feature. The smile under her helmet is HUGE.....
I gave in on Saturday and bought a Canon 70-200 f/4L lens, so I had to try it out........Here's the results...........

Yup, no licence required, classes to suit everyone. There are two "Wildman" races at the end of the day, all in senior and all in junior.....

Hey Climintie,
The hands pretty bad, just got out of Hospital today. Will have to go back in for surgery to put plates in soon after the specialist has alook on monday.
Apparently they could not put a plate in due to all the dirt in the wound.
It was fun while it lasted. I guess no bikes for a while for me...Good oppurtunity to work on the bike for a few months......I will definitly be wearing a neck brace from here on.
See you at the tracks on sunday for the school champs...Will be there to cheer your girl...Thanks to everyone who helped after the crash. Hope the other guys alright..

Blardy hell.... I thought it was just a decent cut  You're a stoic tough guy alright, laughing and joking while your hand must have been near falling off.. Get well quick mate and we'll see you Sunday at the Schools, Grace is hoping for rain, she loves deep, slushy mud......

not quite sure mate! I remember going up the ramp on the left, there was another bike on the right hand side of the ramp. i think he cross rutted on the upramp as he didnt want to give up a spot and gassed it more than needed. needless to say he landed on me and knocked me off the bike mid air. ive got a nasty fracture on my right hand which needs plates put in but cause there was a deep cut as well and due to all the dirt in the wound the surgeon didn't want to put a plate in as yet fearing infection, so i have to wait till they are certain that there is no infection before the plate goes in. so much for my MX debut.
Shit happens i guess.
i wasn't doing to bad and was running with the first six when it happened(mid way) i was trying to save some strength for the last two laps to make up a spot or two. i guess i should have had a plan for mr evil kanievil as well..LOL:
next time round i wont race the novice class and race with guys in intermediates where they have better control on thier bikes and the vets. i dont mind finishing down the pack as long as i get to finish in one piece.

Yeah. manual most of the time, but when I'm moving to a new position , I try to remember to flick to Tv in case something "sudden" catches my eye........
