My son saw what looked to be a rather nasty accident on the Gorge this morning about 11.15am. Seems that a logging truck travelling down the Gorge dropped a log and a following motorcyclist ran into it.
Can't tell you a lot but the lad reckoned that the bike looked like a Bandit, and looked as if it had lost the bikes front end (forks, pipes) was totalled. The police were in attendance having a word to the truckie, but no sign of the rider.
Has anyone heard/seen anything about this one?

Well the truckie will get done for an insecure load for a start off.
Not sure what the fine is for that.
I do hope the rider is ok.

All depends if a chain snapped, then he cant be charged.
Best of luck to the biker and his family

Truckies are supposed to check their chains and tie downs regular.

Gidday mate. The hands are coming along nicely. I've got the official discharge from Hospital, and down to fortnightly visits to the nice lady at the hand clinic.
The Gorge gives me the s@#%s every time I go up or down it. I'm bloody careful in peak hour traffic.
Haven't seen any details about this accident although Ollie reckopned that the bike was still on the down side later in the afternoon. Hope that the rider was ok. Nasty, nasty, nasty.
Sold that CBR yet???
