A truckie, talking on the cellphone - entering a roundabout - who looks LEFT, FFS but not RIGHT (where I was, about five metres away from him) before proceeding into the roundabout in a state of total oblivion...:eek5:

Fortunately the spidie sense had already warned me that he looked like a total dork approaching and I managed to stop - in the middle of the roundabout - with no drama. Gave me a chance to utilize the new Stebel warning device once more - and he DID hear that....:yes:

I would have phoned up his company but did not see the branding on the truck...too much traffic to do anything dramatic...

The very reason I am always cautious going into roundabouts with trucks waiting to enter. There's one here which is on the expressway that a lot of trucks use coming through from Taupo to Hastings. Always a very busy place but I find it notorious for trucks just entering willy nilly. I realise sometimes trucks need to enter otherwise they would be stuck there all day but when they follow another big truck in :argh:
