i was having a bit of a think and i remember mnz did an offer a while ago with far north fuels for mobil fuel cars with a 6c discount on diesel , what im wondering is if anyone knows how to get even better discounts or how an individual who doesnt really use much diesel in the scheme of things can get good discounts and use the truck stops which i have been told are even cheaper.
anyone knowledgeable on the topic?

Hiya, get a Farmlands card, you can use it on a few different sites and they arent to fast at putting the pricing up (apparently)
I work for Mobil as it happens and while fuels aint my bag I understand there is alot of issues around the cards etc at the moment.

there is an independant Co that offers fuel cards still cost a little to set up ill ask round think i know couple a people that use it.
We use caltex for our Co (its close to workshop) and even spending $1100-$1200 a month you dont save that much.
And yes you are right truck stops are cheaper as with marine stops.

mnz did an offer a while ago with far north fuels for mobil fuel cars with a 6c discount on dieselI enquired about this last year. IIRC it was not a mobil fuel card but a Far North Fuels a/c - subtle difference. The discount got deeper with increased volume purchased. I didn't think it would be worth it for me, don't use enough fuel and too much of it would be purchased at other branded sites.
Ring the lady at Far North, she was very helpful. Info: MNZ Value Added Pack (http://www.mnz.co.nz/mnz_memberbenefits.aspx)

Most of the fuel cards won't save you as much per litre as a supermarket voucher will.

your right there by the time they charge you $2.50 a month just for havin the card. We ended up canceling one of our due to it lack of use the $2.50 was more than the discount from the amount of fuel bought.
