I went along to this movie with my work mates. All I can say is: "Wow!"
Go see it if you're comfortable with seeing men get brutally honest with themselves. It's pretty intense with stirling acting from the entire cast.

But..... they're actors! acting out a script that was written to invoke a strong feeling from you (must of worked)

My son is a prime example, even though he's only 11...has an issue, blurts it out when he's ready then says to me :" Right, so I guess I'm gonna have to...[insert manly thing to deal with it here]"
And voila!, crisis averted and I barely peeped 2 words :2thumbsup

Tee hee - I didn't know commenting on a movie I really enjoyed would cause so many posts and comments.
Chick flick it is not. For me it was an interesting perspective on how men in the group that were struggling with life (which clearly none of you are - which is fabulous!) and as a result of being part of the group some of them were able to eventually make some choices to change, others didn't.
And yep even though it was a script and actors I assume it was based on some sort of experience the writer has had.
Different strokes for different folks - if rooting, fishing, killing and blowing shit up helps a bloke then sweet! And I know that men and women are very different and in general have different ways of sorting their shit out - my fella has taught me that for sure!

Mens Groups are choice depends on were your coming from pussies keep to them selfs. I've been in mens groups for years, we help each other out and we can go out , blow things up, shoot things, reck old cars on skid patches ride bikes and do all the blokey things but we are able to share our hard times and good times and try and help stop others falling into traps. I aint seen the Movie but it sounds good.:2thumbsup

But seriously a really good movie to watch about a 'mens group' would have to be FightClub (Brad Pitt), awesome movie and some hot guys! :shutup:
