Due to depression and lack of interest im selling the CBR.
Im sick of seeing it in the garage and not able to use it so im looking at selling it. Its too good to just sit there it deserves to be thrashed.
Its fast enough to not be embarrased and there is scope to modify it to make it even better. Contrary to common belief it is actually standard so the thing could be made to go really well with a bit of effort.
Those that dont know it , its the bike Nicksta rode last year at VMCC in Post Classic. Its won the title (in 2005) before and is still a giant killer of a little bike.
Spare frame and an engine with a damaged big end on one rod. Plus other bits and bobs.
Note ; this is a race bike only.
PM me if you have a question or post it here , ill look in at times.
Cheers All . Stay safe .Paul.

If you are reffering to last years startline incident , that was "straight up "and not "backwards".
New clutches are a bitch.

I hope this bike goes to someone who will keep it in the same condition its been in for years...
Good luck Paul.
Are you still going to be going to the race meetings etc?

Thanks Marty i try to keep it in good order , its never really let me down in any way, its a Honda.
Yes i will still be going to some of the meetings for this year anyhow. I have made a committment to Steevie and Nicki and ill still prep (or rebuild with Steevie) thier bikes . Im still going to assist Neil Chapell and Clivoris and Paul Wootton as i am needed and carry on with the tyre sponsorship deal ive been doing through Dunlop.
Unfortunately i have been given a wake up call recently and i want to spend more time with my kids and Dianne so the 27 year hobby has to get sidelined a bit.
Its been a huge amount of fun but now family is more of a focus for me. Something had to give and now it has.
Paul.

Hi there, since i made this profile so that i can contact you, i cant yet use the private message system. i found this bike through my sisters partner who races a suzuki sv650, i have been talking to him about getting into racing and my cousin also races but in the post classic juniors on a zxr400. anyway, im very very keen on this bike and would like a bit more information, ie will it come with tyre warmers, stands, spare tyres etc, as i understand it comes with a spare frame and engine with a damaged big end on one rod, does this mean the secound bike is complete? sorry if im not making alot of sense but i am quite excited about the possibility of finally being able to afford to race.
Please give me an email at travis_etheridge@hotmail.com or reply to this post.
many thanks,

Your doing this all wrong.
First you start with the figure you would like $300,000 .
Then you barter with yourself at $2,000
I would suggest you counter offer yourself $4,000 including spares and consider that a bargin.
$2000 represents very cheep sorted bike.Dont expect this will remain unsold long.

Wot everyone else said. I've ridden this bike and it's waaaay better than mine. Were I sticking with the 400's I'd rip Paul's bloody arm off. The 17" rear on it is like hens teeth BTW.

Mate if this was around when I started, for this price I would have jumped on it quicker than I'd jump on Scarlet Johanson. Even if it was without spares it is a total bargain. To get into racing for $2k???

Thanks for the interest and offers folks , the mighty CBR400RR has a new Dad and will be collected this Sunday morning.
Its sad for me to see it go but i came the the conclusion that i didnt use it , i couldnt afford to let others use it , i didnt want to see it gather dust and go to waste.
the new owner (who will im sure make themselves known) will have a blast on the bike and as we all know the price paid will allow a few spare race budget dollars to make it look like they want it to.
Good luck with the coming season new owner and all you F3 and postie riders , the mighty Honda has returned to the grid.
Now all i have to do is tell Dianne that i have sold my dream machine.
Thanks all
Paul

Wow. That's the saddest good news I've heard for a while. End of an era Paul and a bloody good buy for the new pilot. I definitely would have bought it if the timing was different.
