I don't get it - is it a roller setup that allows you to practice using the engine and clutch to pop a wheelie then perfect throttle control and balance?

Gives you the sensantion of what to expect I guess, a bit like moving on from wanking to the real thing?

You fall off, just like you would on a bronco.
And do tell, what one should do when a wheelie goes pear shaped?

Yeah for someone like you that can actually sustain a wheelie I guess it would be a yawn. But the key here is, you would still give it a go....:2thumbsup
5 mins is all you get, that will be $XX thanks...:msn-wink:

plenty of guys out there that are way better at it than I am. As far as the wank factor goes.. meh... There is nothing better than wheelieing past a group of kids to see the joy on their faces. I am all about spreading the joy........

Just like a bucking bronco machine, I'm picturing it in the middle of a crowded bar with a scantily clad bird perched atop it.
I'd have a go....but I'd do it in full leathers to ensure I got an experience as close to the real thing as possible

I beleive its a great machine, as for the 'business venture' thats all bullshit, but I think it would have a rather long queue at any venue it appears at, more so than the hotdog stand anyway..

If they were smart they would add a landing pad on shock absorbers to lessen the impact of noobs landing a wheelie too hard. That dude was still smacking the front of the bike down pretty hard.

What an absolutely ridiculous idea... Let me guess, it's from America?
The only thing that machine will help you do is getting comfortable with your body position during a wheelie. Nothing else. Since it is stationary it won't help you get any feeling for what actually is going on.

Or an actual simulation of the forces involved either...
gyroscopics of the front wheel still rotating
wind forces
uneven road
wind buffeting the rider as he keeps the balance
etc.

wind forces....A large Fan placed in front?
uneven road....No such thing right?
wind buffeting the rider as he keeps the balance....Refer large Fan
etc.

Ya smart arse with an answer for everything...
I wasn't intending to be quite so critically negative as what my post came across as...
I still say it is no comparison to the real thing, but if you bought one (and I looked into it myself at the end of last year...there are guys who manufacture them for purchase online) I would certainly be waiting in your line for a go.

It is just a simulator Brett, agreed, it will give you the sensation at best. Years ago I went in a simulator (about 10 or so sit inside this thing) and it was of the IOM TT, it gave you the sensation of what it was like being on a bike on those streets, I was so immpressed with it I gave it another go, you could feel the acceleration, braking and got a good sense of the speed. In reality, it was nothing like actually doing it but well worth the money.

Can't argue with that at all Maha! And as I said, I would be in line for a go.
