She turns her bike around while it sits on the stand and you are impressed...you must not get out much - come around our place and you'll see that happening every day in deep gravel even! Wow I bet many many of the biker angels do this AND...Frankly I'd be more impressed if she could do a good u turn but hey each to their own I guess. Bet there are many many other biker angels that can also do good u-turns too .

Shit, go into a bike shop and take a bike out for a ride, they do it all he time.......well, the experienced staff do. Looks alot scarier when it's inside a shop with bikes all around it to knock over.

Oh renegade master, you are so hard nosed, a guy kindly showed me this technique at the vehicle testing centre which was the first time i seen it and we went over it a couple of times, but hey, ive done some silly stuff before and i imagine this sort of move tackled alone would end me pinned under my bike...

nayh its easy as, but i'd only really use it on light bikes, dont trust all the weight going on the side stand lols
I tried doing that with a Hayabusa - it didn't work :pinch:

I've done it with my blackbird!!! The mechanics told me afterwards that's it's not really recommended  But nothing bad happened. I must admit it wasn't quite the same smooth turn as she's done though - more like a 3 turn effort. With the firestorm, much easier, it's a much lighter bike. Can do it with one finger with the 250 :woohoo:

No. She picks it up resting on her thigh and spins it around. And she did that coz she didn't want to show off doing a wheel spin 180.

This technique is really fukken useful. And real easy on an FXR. I use it to turn it around in the bloody uni carparks with limited space, and also at home to turn it around in the carport
It works in the dirt too

I'm wondering if it's not really recommended due to the stress placed on the sidestand through the pivot. There's probably quite a bit of technique to it and I certainly wouldn't be rushing to try it with my bandit. But if someone knowledgeable told me it was perfectly acceptable and stands were designed to cope with it then I'd be more inclined to practice doing it. (Maybe I'll give it a go with the ginny - I should be able to manage that wee light-weight! hehehe)

I'm with you here. I won't do it unless there's no other option for the mere fact that my Hornet's sidestand has been chopped down and rewelded twice so I'm a little weary of putting too much undue weight or stress on it.
