Distinguishing Brass Monkey badges?

Right I have a wall of the bloody things, and as they do not have the year on them I have marked mine with pen on the backs many years ago... but I might have them all muddled up.

Whos in the know, whos memory still functions... what colour outer rim and badge center matches the correct year?

I do know that the:
round badge is from the 80's
ten sides is from the 90's
sprocket shaped from 2000

Hmmm...the 1988 badge here says light blue outer lavender backgound, ive got that one from attendance but was overseas in 1988, i vaguely remember being dragged around by someone, by my feet, on my back over a frozen lake...eeek! that seems to puts my badge, by posts mentioning a frozen lake at '85 '86! its wrong all wrong, don't rely on it, he he

i was wondering if you could help me my husband has a hole lot of brass monkey badges that were his fathers and im trying to find out the years of these bagdes as i am wanting to put them together in a frame for him... I know his father dies in November 1989.... can you please help me to distingh the following badge years.

i have :
Black outer white inner
white outer blue inner
blue outer yellow inner
orange outer yellow inner
Green outer bule inner
light bule outer purple inner
and i have two ten sided ones
one says its the 10th anniversary it has a white outer with a light blue inner
the other has a dark blue outer and light blue inner
any help would be much appricated

I know this is a really long shot, but see you have a wall of badges & just wondering if you would consider selling the 1990 10th anniversary one? It has special meaning to me & unfortunately I lost it while attending the last rally recently. I have a "I survived the night" badge from the last (40th) & final rally I could swap if interested??
