One Saturday pratice and I have brought number (64) CG125 for $350 and had a run on it at Mt Wellington. Great fun and sold on bucket racing. The fact I got passed on the inside and the out side by A graders going in to a corner well suxed... I can only get better.

The dude I was buying the CG off blow it up but sourced another CG125 motor so I thought it was still a good buy, but FK me I could not get the magneto off the old motor to put it onthe new motor ....... heat, hammer, soak in CRC and finnaly the dreaded inpact gun...!!!! and it did not move just stripped my puller .. 22mm left hand thread tool. Gutted. Crank thread is now a mushroom!

So fit new top end on to old motor and bugger me the piston was melted.

So CG racer x 2 motors and no go.

So what does a new bucket racer surposed to do... well wife was away and trade me was running hot, beers were flowing and bingo... new bucket racer... still dont know what I have brought....(help) I had to sell all my surplus RD350LC stuff to pay for this... gutted like selling rocking horse poo.

Mothers day present on wifes return was " Hi honey I brought you a bike" with stupid grin.

You might want to be fitting a muffler to that thing first!

Yep that bike won't meet the noise restriction limits without a muffler. (and you wouldn't be allowed to ride)

The muffler will affect performance, and probably jetting so get a range of main jets. If you can source a muffler by the weekend and give it a run. There are other mods for it, Speedpro is an expert on these his goes like stink.

Good luck

Bugger... where am I going to get a muffler from?

Ahh just looked under the house and I have the muffler off my standard RG500 chambers... might be able to make that fit.

Yep if you can just quiet it down a little. at least you'll be able to give it a run and see how it goes.

Keep an eye on your mixture tho.

See you at the track
